The Force Unleashed - Ultimate Sith Edition

Hermiod

Admiral
Admiral
Coming this Christmas.

The extra content comes in the shape of two "What If" missions, based on the alternate ending where Starkiller (i.e. you) kill Vader and become the Emperor's new apprentice. The premise is "What if the Sith won ?"

The Emperor sends you to deal with two outstanding pieces of business. In the first, you are sent to Tattooine to deal with Obi-Wan, making a stop at Jabba's palace along the way. In the second, you are sent to Hoth to kill Luke Skywalker.

Only the Tattooine mission will be available as DLC. To play the second you must buy the game you already bought last year again.

It's kind of a dick move that one of the missions comes with the game only. But I guess they need a way to trick people into buying it.

Did anybody actually like this game enough that they would buy it again for a new mission?

That what I was thinking. Most of the people I know that bought it swapped/sold it, and a couple never finished it and tossed to the bottom of some pile.

Wait, are you telling me that yet another "ultimate Star Wars game" failed to live up to its hype?

They spent so much time on building up the hype of pulling a Star Destroyer out of the air that they forgot to make it work or be, y'know, fun.

I dunno, I thought the game was awesome. One of the few games where I actually went through all the difficulty levels and beat the game on the hardest.

It suffers from the same problem so many games suffer from. It's fun 99% of the time but then they do something different and it becomes aggravating. This time it's the Star Destroyer.

Yeah, I was referring primarily to the Star Destroyer level. While the game had other flaws, I found the rest of it to be mostly enjoyable.

WTF!!! you have to buy the game again just for one lousy stinkin' mission.

Aghh.. well guess I ain't buying anymore DLC's for this game. What a d*ck move.

Yeah, I'll get right on that.

I was incredibly disappointed in the game - no way in hell am I buying it a second time for another hack-n-slash mission with different corridor textures and a new skybox. :p

They could always do what Activision did and re-release a game as a special edition with the DLC... and then re-release it again with the special edition cover but not include the DLC. :)

This special edition is also the release of the PC and Mac versions of the game. So I'm not getting screwed, because I don't have a console, and this'll be the first and only version I can get.

Like Star Wars fans ever had a problem with buying something over and over again.

Luckily for me, I only borrow my friend's copy of this game when it first came out. He borrowed Mercenaries 2, I borrowed this. I was about to buy it off of a co-worker until I read the announcement about this a few days ago.
