The Force Unleashed...(Spoilers!)

I have to say that I was mildly entertained by the storyline and how everything came together. The beginning of the Rebel Alliance and how everything seem to fit together. There are some minor quibbles but all in all, I was pleasantly surprised by how well the story flowed. The art on the other hand, was chaotic and very -- confusing in some panels. I don't know who does the art half the time for Dark Horse/Lucas Books but man, they slaughtered Knights of the Old Republic for a run.

I considered picking up the novel of Force Unleashed yesterday. It's 50% off at my local Borders.

i thought this thread was going to be about the demo that just came out for the 360... fun demo, though the force pull is a bit cumbersome. i am definately interested in the game after playing the demo.

The graphic novel ties in well from what I saw of the game. Would be interesting to see some of the levels.

Especially since you go up against two Jedi Masters, including one from the Jedi Council.

I picked up a copy of the novel today and plan to start reading it tonight.

Also picked up Coruscant Nights I: Jedi Twilight, the first entry in a series I had completely forgotten about. Looking forward to reading that one even more than The Force Unleashed.

I liked the artwork in the Force Unleashed. The story was all right too. I've considered buying the novel, because I sort of feel that they glossed over how Starkiller gained Kota's trust. Maybe the novel will flesh that out more.

One nagging question from the TPB, why does Palpatine let Bail Organa and the other Rebel leaders just go? Why didn't he have them arrested and executed?

Also, was the Death Star they were on destroyed? There was a big explosion during the escape.

Got my copy of the game pre-ordered and anxiously awaiting it! I forgot about the novelization of it, though. I might pick that one up tomorrow! That should tide me over till September 16th!

I think the novel might clean it up better but there is no wiggle room. The Jedi in question is definitely dead.

BTW Didn't Palp want to make a public display of the Rebel leaders?

Some time later she met Jedi Maris Brood, who was bent on revenge against Vader. Shaak Ti convinced her to go into hiding on the planet Felucia, where she was training the Force sensitive natives for an eventual conflict with Vader and Galen Marek, his secret apprentice and possible adopted son. Marek and Shaak Ti eventually engaged in a lightsaber duel on the edge of a sarlacc pit, where Master Ti was stabbed through the chest and tumbled into the creature's maw.

About Shaak Ti I'm not sure she's dead. We never saw a body. And the way it was drawn in the comics I never got that she was stabbed in the chest. I'm guardedly optimistic that she survived mainly because I like the character.

Given (and I'm a little sketchy as I have had weird periods of sleep the past few days) that she was coughing up blood and fell in a Sarlacc's pit...I will assume she is dead.

Weird . . . I mentioned Boba Fett before, but I didn't realize how similar their (at least) apparent deaths were. I suppose if he survived what he's supposed to have gone through in the Sarlacc's maw, it might be possible she did as well.
