Spoilers The Flash - Season 2

Well, to travel between dimensions they pretty much have to use the speed cannon, which is where they hinted Supergirl's superworld can be accessed. And, this week they pretty much resolved to get back to E2 to clean things up. It's simple enough to supose they fix the speed cannon (or find another way back), and that Barry's taking a side trip along the way.

So, a crossover was confirmed? I thought the last I heard was that they weren't going to do one this season.

If so, cool. :)

Yes, it's been confirmed, and it's been filming within the past week, and there are photos. (Which spoil who the villains are, though that's hardly a secret.) And it's adorable how much fun Benoist and Gustin are having together in those photos.

Yeah, it still looks like people who were on Glee (albeit not really together) can in fact get along. :P

As to whether either show will reference what happens in the other, I'm willing to bet we'll just get an offhand remark like "What the heck was THAT?! That was weird. Okay, moving on." in true comic book fashion. I'm just happy this is happening at all - we're creating a meta, HIll Street Blues sort of continuity here, where everything is sorta related but not, and many things aren't related at all except when they are. Kinda like Power Rangers / Super Sentai crossovers. ;)

One wonders if CBS and CW would have permitted this if Supergirl and Flash were on the same nights and in more direct competition... I recall back during the final episode of Scrubs, certain characters were not seen in the final sequence because the show they were on (Masi Oka on Heroes, for example) wouldn't let them cross the studio line even for an unrelated cameo as an unrelated character. Glad that they could make this (and the Constantine crossover for that matter) happen.

I think the Constantine one was even more impressive when you consider that NBC is totally unrelated to The CW. I doubt that would have happened if Constantine was still on the air.

CBS owns half of CW.
They'd never schedule them to be in direct competition in the first place.

Studios can't limit actors like that anymore. That was part of the old "stable of stars studio system". More than likely Masi Oka and the others just had scheduling conflicts.

I wish they'd get a handle on having multiple comic characters in different productions. I haven't been a steady comic reader in a long time but in the ol' days you'd have Wolverine off with Jubilee and Mystique in Madripoor in one book and flying off with the X-Men in another and we'd figure it out. I guess they're more worried about it affecting interest and the bottom line more than it confusing people but so many shows have been burdened with having the good stuff locked away.

^But we just had Diggle on The Flash on Tuesday and Arrow on Wednesday. They can handle having characters on two shows at a time, at least on a guest-star basis. Anything more regular than that would be too great a demand on the actors. Wolverine can easily appear in a half-dozen comic books per month because he's just a drawing. Flesh-and-blood people need their sleep.

In the sixth photo some-one is either a big fan or Melissa Benoist's stunt double is watching in the background

Sorry, I went off on a bit of a tangent and was thinking about the movies. I think the crossovers between the TV shows has been really great and that's where the conversation was so I apologize about blurring the lines there.

A female speedster? Thats *gotta* be Jessie, but why would she be attacking Barry, when her and Wells are working with him?

No, but on Earth 1, Wells didn't have kids; he was already replaced by Eobard.

It could be a totally random female speedster and I could be totally wrong, but I assumed at some point now that Jesse is on Earth 1, they would develop her into Jessie Quick.... it could just be another misdirect though.

Jay said he'd been experimenting with increasing his speed back on Earth-2, so maybe he accidentally created an opposite version of himself somehow. An evil version born out of an obsession with being faster. Throw in the Earth-1 counterpart and you have three versions of the same person floating around.

So that could mean the real Jay Garrick is the man in the iron mask, and Zoom could have easily recruited or threatened the Earth-1 version into pretending to be Jay Garrick (who has conveniently lost his speed) in order to infiltrate STAR Labs. Zoom could have given him all the information he would need for a convincing backstory, and even slipped out of his suit to play "Hunter Zolomon" in the park if anyone started digging around for an Earth-1 Jay. Hell, Zoom could have even pretended to be Jay himself once or twice.

Seems plausible. Probably wrong though.

We haven't seen the Earth 1 Jesse yet, have we?
I don't think there is an Earth 1 Jesse.
Wells' wife was killed early by Thawne.

ETA: Ninja'd by a Ninja'd Ninja who was also Ninja'd
I shouldn't allow myself to be so distracted while replying.

Its either a twin brother, a clone, a speed duplicate split in half, a 3rd alternate, or a "future" version. Which route are they going to take? Lol.

*EDIT* Or its Thawne-2 stealing another face. So, 6 choices..... time for a poll? lol.
