It's the thread where people who watch the show go to discuss current episodes...details of upcoming episodes will obviously be spoilers for them. I'm not sure where "active" or "popular" fit into that equation.
And that's just as spoilerish as saying the guy's name.
Seriously why is this NOW an issue? We have always talked about what is revealed in the previews...
Maybe people are hypersensitive about spoilers in general because The Force Awakens just came out?

Those first spoilers involved something that could inform where they're going with Zoom's true identity...the more recent implied one sounds like something that's meant be a surprise. These aren't quite the same as "they cast so-and-so to play Random DC Villain". Just exercise some discretion.
Since when has posting spoilers NOT been an issue? Pretty basic concept that if it hasn't happened on the show yet, it's probably a good idea to spoiler tag it just in case.
And the information didn't come from previews anyway.
I didn't know it actually came from previews because I watch on Hulu. But I did see ALL of this pop up in my Facebook feed. I did not see any details for The Force Awakens pop up in my feed so that would be an indication for me of what to post in Spoiler tags or not.
Plus, we know the actor/actress is returning but we really don't have any clue as to the details so it is really not a big deal.
