Spoilers The Flash - Season 2

Eh. I love Baccarin as much as the next person, but it seems she's in everything these days, especially SFF related.

And ver cool indeed. Nice to see Henry come and go again. I am sure we have not seen the last of the reverse Flash suit. Wish Barry would tell Patty already he has told everyone else.

For someone who doesn't read the comics, this is as close as Flash can get to paying homage to Planet of the Apes. I'm sure they can't afford to show Gorilla city again, but man I would love to see it in the future. I'm also glad Grodd got a happy ending. Even from his season 1 episodes, he didn't really seem "Bad", just more abused.

I really hope Patty doesn't become the new Iris and she is told that Barry is the Flash soon. I want to like Patty, but her character seems to have hit a wall in the last few episodes. Speaking of Iris, the writers really are doing a great job with her this season.

Grodd wasn't much of a threat in this story. Even Caitlyn thought he was just a misunderstood disgruntled primate. The important thing is that Barry quickly healed; I thought for a moment his not being able to feel his legs would drag on for a few episodes.

I need to catch up on all these shows now.

Grodd killed several people.
But in a court of law, is it murder?

No it isn't.

But then, there's a flexible latitude where you're allowed to put animals down righteously, depending where you live, even though animal cruelty is obviously still a charge to be wary of, also depending on where you live.

Sniping stray cats who get too close to your porch because you're a porchdick however is not the same as killing gorilla who is robbing a bank.

The county or city can issue hunting licenses specific to an animal seen as a pest.

It wouldn't be too hard to pre-organize a license to kill (Grodd or any other telepathic Gorilla).

It's ridiculous to argue about this but then again we're fans of it.

At which point does an animal stop being an animal and start being a person? Grodd is clearly self aware, has shown intelligence and is able to communicate (albeit telepathically).

Is he still an animal, is he a person or something in between? At which point would the law system step in and treat him as a person instead of an animal?

An animal never stops being an animal and starts being a person.

Never.

Given available technology in the real world of course, but there are people that try to pull this shit giving their dogs human rights, and more rights than people because they are privileged assholes.

It was explained to me earlier today that 14th amendment was constructed to give former slaves automatic citizenship, without having to chase down a few million people skittish about the government, and make them sign paperwork in triplicate to authenticate themselves as "real" Americans.

Was Grodd born in America?

Grodd isn't an animal, he's an emotionally scarred psychic genius with the emotional maturity of a five year old. I don't think Gorilla City with thank Earth One for landing him with them. Odds are they'll institutionalise him.

I'm tired of the "tell me everything, I command you!" attitude coming from Patty, as I was with Iris last season. For Iris, it at least made sense as she and Barry were essentially family. But Patty is a stranger, they've only played the workplace flirtation game for a scant few weeks, and have been out on a date a grand total of one time. She doesn't need to be all up in his business and he doesn't have to tell her a secret of this magnitude yet. She started out well, but the writers don't need to make her so clingy. Stop it! :D
