The First Trailer

I just saw TFA tonight at my local theater and the only trailer shown was for Disney's Jungle Book reboot. Slightly disappointed.

think they will need to come up with a 'Chewie We're home' moment for the next trailer ...Shatner? TOS style Ent? I-VI style Ent? just something to get us trekkies foaming at the mouths

They played the STB trailer at the showing I caught too. As well as Captain America: Civil War, X-Men Apocalypse, Kung Fu Panda 3, nd Warcraft (which really sounded horrid), the only other major trailer they didn't have for this one was Independence Day 2.

So, just want to say that I've seen Star Wars twice, and neither time has the Star Trek trailer played before it. Weird, thought it was supposed to play before Star Wars.

You should consider yourself lucky you didn't have to sit through Kirk "popping wheelies" to a blaring 20 something year old Beastie Boys song. The crowd I saw TFA kind of had a WTF was that reaction after the trailer played.

They played all of the big trailers in front of the TFA showing I went to. The two trailers that got the biggest, positive response?

Star Trek Beyond and Batman V Superman, especially when Wonder Woman showed up.

At no time were they "wtf?", more like "that looks awesome!" Guess the audience I saw it with is more into IDIC than the one you saw it with.

You saw him popping wheelies? Huh.

There was one motocross jump and NOT A SINGLE WHEELIE in the one I saw.

It's 'funny' how you only call out one side's hyperbole.

Yeah. I'd rather sit thought Kirk jumping horses to blaring, pedestrian orchestral music.

YMMV

Should you happen to observe any "hyperbole" or other detail which you believe requires the attention of staff, make use of the "Notify Moderator" button (

) which appears on the post in question. If that action does not suffice to address the matter, then feel free to take it up via PM or email with one of the board Administrators (those are the people whose names are in yellow.)

But in-thread call-outs, such as this? Please don't. It's considered poor form, and wins no "cool guy" points.
