the final and unequivocal sign of the downfall of human civiliation

That this is being made into a TV show.

Behold! The Geico Cavemen of 2011.

So when mighty cracks open in the earth below your feet and the terrifying screams of a billion doomed souls spew forth upon flames with the fiery intensity of a trillion white-hot supernovas, don't say I didn't warn yas.

The shorts are hilarious. I would probably hang myself if forced to watch a full series.

Am I the only one that liked The Geico Caveman show? Sure it wasn't exactly high art but it was a decent show, at least I thought so.

Re: the final and unequivocal sign of the downfall of human civiliatio

The Geico Cavemen, like Annoying Orange, are 1 minute long, maybe 1 minute 30. Brevity may not be the soul of wit, but it is certainly the soul of all half-witted comedy. This salient fact seems to continually escape Hollywood. I suspect they may once again learn a lesson they have already learned many times.

Eh, we've survived three Transformers movies, so...

Re: the final and unequivocal sign of the downfall of human civiliatio

We've also survived Pauly Shore, the Star Wars PT, and the remake of Knight Rider, but there's only so long our luck can hold out.

Re: the final and unequivocal sign of the downfall of human civiliatio

A half billion views on Youtube? I had thankfully never heard of this before. I don't find it very apeeling.

Re: the final and unequivocal sign of the downfall of human civiliatio

I wonder how it is I've never heard of this, despite its popularity. I must run in the wrong circles... or the right ones.

In the words of the very first Geico Caveman:

NOT COOL!!

Re: the final and unequivocal sign of the downfall of human civiliatio

This seems like the sort of thing that would do well as, say, little bumpers on Adult Swim. Who knows.

Re: the final and unequivocal sign of the downfall of human civiliatio

On second thought, the Geico Cavemen ads were witty, in their proper (short) context, which is more that the obnoxious fruit face can say for itself.
