the fates of Chuck and Heroes

Temis is your relationship with "Heroes" like mine is with "Smallville"? LOL I could care less about "Heroes" but yay for "Chuck" if it gets renewed.

Every time I get mad at Heroes, I remember that it would be replaced by a show where people eat bugs. :rommie: I'd rather see what lunacy Tim Kring comes up with for Peter and Sylar's relationship, which must be the most bizarre and inexplicable in TV history by this point.

Wasn't there already a lovely sf show called The Cape that ran a few years and never really got its full treatment?

And to think, NBC dumped Journeyman after 13 eps when it had so much more to do! MY husband used to love Heroes, now pfft!

Or you could get a book and read, play a video game, rent a movie... have sex. You don't have to watch what they replace it with, right? ;)

Seriously though, S5 shouldn't become an X-Men or rather Avengers "ripoff", that should have been S2. S5 should have remained that ripoff that started in S2.

Chuck deserves to come back--one of the few solidly good shows on these days.

Heroes is a total mess and a money pit for NBC it should have ended at the end of season 3--either way I won't be watching.

Why can't Heroes just die? To me, its damages are beyond repair and watching it these days is like watching a trainwreck that never ends.

Was Season 4 of Heroes even worth watching?

I watched Season 1 and absolutely loved it........until the finale.
Season 2 was very much like Season 1, but not quite as good.
Season 3 was a trainwreck and I couldn't bear to watch any more (which is rare for me)

Was Season 4 actually worth watching.....?
No and this is from someone who foolishly watched it. The characters were bland, their behavior inconsistent, the villian was boring, the season's pace was glacial, Hiro was annoying, Ando was wasted, Tracy was useless, Angela needed more screentime, threads were poorly handled or totally dropped, a certain character death was lame and in the context of the series stupid.

I don't watch either show, so I couldn't care less!

Thank you for your valuable contribution to the subject matter.

Heroes I don't really care about it getting renewed. I will probably watch it if it does. But mostly from habit and a small glimmer of hope they are able to recapture some of what made season 1 so much better.

As for Chuck, check out my sig and the weekly discussion threads I start for it. It's a fun show. It's well made. Robert Duncan McNeill (Voyager's Tom Paris/TNG's Nick Locarno) is an executive producer. I hope for it's continued survival.

Good gort. This means Heroes will have outlasted Lost. :wtf:

Heroes will have run for 4-1/2 seasons, to Lost's 6. Just because it's going to be on the air for 13 more episodes after Lost is gone isn't "outlasting."

But judging by one post in this thread, looks like at least one person can't wait to see Claire angst some more, or Hiro to wander off and do something completely unrelated to the storyline, or for Sylar to be schizophrenic because the plot dictates it, or for Peter to become smart and stupid and the snap of the finger because the plot requires it, or for the Heroes to resolve act one by doing another act one.

I gave up on Heroes, so I'm not bothered either way. Chuck I'll be happy to watch if it doesn't go on past a natural ending.

I hope they do a fifth season of Heroes because it is awesome in my opinion I know it may not happen any thoughts?

Heroes needs to get a brand new creative team or be canceled.

There's nothing wrong with the premise, and for the most part the actors do their best with what they're given, but the writers know nothing about how to write a story about people with superpowers.

The number of times over the past four seasons where a character has been depowered, memory wiped, driven insane, given a mental block or had some other stupid plot device done to him in order to prevent him from using his powers is ridiculous.

You cannot write a show about superpowered people by avoiding having them use those powers. Even Smallville, with its frequent overuse of Kryptonite (and complete lack of understanding of how Kryptonite actually affects Kryptonians) does a better job than this show does.

The characters are a remarkably easy going bunch, though. They lose their amazing superhuman abilities and just shrug their shoulders and say "easy come, easy go".

If, in the first episode of any new season, Peter gets his original ability back and we see the good guy characters actuallly using their abilities to do good, then maybe it will still be worth a shot.

Sylar is a fascinating character I feel Zachary Quinto is awesome anyway do you think Heroes should have a fifth season or say bye bye?

The writers. They have no idea what they're doing, and the story they're telling changes at a whim.
