"Ooh, a flyin' beastie!"

I thought there was already a thread on this upcoming release but I can't find it now (I guess it was mentioned in some other unrelated thread).

Anyways, the trailer was released a couple of days ago:

Apparently, it's already out in the UK, but of course, who knows when it'll be out in the US.

Still haven't gotten around to getting Macra Terror, myself. But might be chance to get both for Easter.

Its really lovely they're almost going straight forward with Troughton's serials. My "dream" of doing a Troughton marathon is coming closer to fruition.

It is a bit annoying they haven't even announced a North American release date yet. On the other hand, if they had, it would only end up postponed two or three times like Shada and The Macra Terror were.
I just don't get why the long delays in these releases. I've long hated this whole region business in the first place, but then also the long delays, often with the lack of clarity for when they'll be released? It's incredibly frustrating.

Bought it today from my local HMV as a self-treat and watched the colour edition and the extras. I enjoyed it much more than I have more recent fare.
In episode one as police officers leave the airport police station to collect the TARDIS you can see wanted posters for Roger Delgado and Sacha Dhawan as the Master and in a later episode the second wanted poster is changed to the Meddling Monk. There's also an advert for International Electromatics (The Invasion) and a newspaper can be seen on someone's desk referring to the defeat of the War Machines :).

That's very cool. I'll have to keep an eye out for those.

...assuming I don't forget in the interim while waiting for the American release. :scream:

OK, seen it now (b&w version with the two surviving episodes), and probably the most effective of the largely missing animations so far.

The animation does the story some justice, even without one (half-pointless) scene reanimated due to excessive complexity. Definitely worth the purchase. :)

Finished watching this a couple of days ago.

Although Troughton is my favourite Doctor, all I had to go on was the existing Episodes 1 and 3, so went into this knowing very little about the plot.

Thoroughly enjoyed the story and the animation - looking forward to Fury from the Deep later in the year, and hopefully more announced for 2021.

I feel for those having to wait for it in the US - surprises me seeing that it's part funded by BBC America.
