I was wondering the same thing. Could be a typo on their part.
Hot damn, this was an episode! Something The Expanse (novels and show) haven't really done before is military drama. They got to get more into that, because this kicked ass. Admiral Souther's death actually shocked me, I got so absorbed into that storyline. Admiral Nguyen is such a tool.
I don't really see that as a positive aspect of the episode. He's too one-dimensionally evil, just there to be hated. I'd prefer it if he had some more nuance.
I didn't really mean it as a positive, I just felt it needed to be said. I guess that was handled a bit sloppily by me, my bad.
Can't say I've ever come across calling some-one a tool as being a positive in anyway.
Depends on the situation and the person.
There's more to him than you're picking up on. They cover his history enough to illuminate why he's acting the way he does. He's protecting his home at all costs. He's experienced defeat at the hands of the Martians. He knows they have the protomolecule and Earth doesn't. He knows that Mars has the technological advantage so Earth needs every edge it can get, and that means being ruthless.
My take is that while you might not like him, there will be people like this throughout history. In fact, these people will be drawn to situations like this because of their characteristics.
Not within the story, but there's the whole "character you love to hate" factor for the audience. Though that isn't something I feel in this case. What I meant was that Nguyen comes off more as a plot device than a character, just bad for the sake of having someone bad there to stymie the good people's efforts. I just read another review saying that the book's version of Nguyen was just as one-note and the show missed a chance to give him some dimension.
^ Like I said, these people exist in the real world. They'd be drawn to situations like this too. I think they gave the character some motivation. Could they have done more? Sure. But, that time would've detracted from the main characters. I'm not sure if that would've been a good trade off.

Admiral Nguyen destroyed the PT Boat UNN Jimenez.
Bummed about the cancellation. Hopefully this will get picked up by Netflix or something.
I hope it is picked up as well, at least for Abaddon's Gate, but adapting that book will require a lot of expensive CGI effects work. I found Cibola Burn a tad weak as a story and the book has too much filler IMO - it might struggle to maintain viewer interest for an entire season. Perhaps a more natural end for the series, though a bit of a downer, would be the Nemesis Games and Babylon's Ashes duology. Persepolis Rising and Tiamat's Wrath could well be too big of a time jump for the current actors to be credibly aged by 40 years. Perhaps the James S A Corey team can come up with some alternate story line but really I think they need to start resolving some of the mysteries about the alien creators of the protomolecule. The planned run of main novels is nine in total.
Well that's depressing. 
This Weeks Episode: Excellent episode, good tension, excellent acting and some cool story points with action. All those set up episodes are now starting to bear fruit.
The News: Cancellation by SyFy completely sucks donkey balls. I hope the parent production team is successful in shopping the show to either Amazon (a good fit) or Netfilx (a better fit). The show is 'too good' to go out this way.

As there is a reference to the characters taking anti-aging medication in Persepolis Rising, I'd say they were making preparations for keeping the actors if the show ever made it that far.
