The Evolution of Lt. An-Gel Sakura

An-Gel Sakura

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
I've made a few manips of Lt. An-Gel Sakura during my time on the computer and I thought it would be nice to see
how she has changed over time, so here they are in order of when they were made.

And I'm still making more.

She's an Uencarran (red-eyed alpha female) wth two rows of teeth and fangs, two hearts, pointy ears, and a horse-like tail.
She also has some psychic abilities.

Hmmmm, that first personnel file picture, I believe I have a variant of that one in my room still ;)

Insanely NICE body of work there...

When I first saw the title of this thread, the thought that jumped forward was...

"Does this mean we get to see a red-eyed pointy-eared fish crawling up out of an alien lake? Cool..."

The other character I would like to hear about is the bearded Andorian captain in that bridge shot. As I recall from a previous thread, Lt. An-Gel Sakura is a JAG officer. That Andorian captain must get himself into trouble EVERY DAMN DAY!!! Not even James T. Kirk needed a JAG officer permanently posted on his bridge...

Sorry, but she's a canine, not a fish.:techman:

He's my Captain and I'm his Admin./JAG Officer. I must have done a good job, because when he got transferred to his
new assignment he took me with him.:wtf:

We're ALL fish, if you go back far enough...

I don't doubt it. That was a jab at the captain, not An-Gel. (The idea of the captain needing his lawyer at the bridge console next to him...)

An-Gel: "I wouldn't say THAT to the Ferengi commander, sir. He might sue..."

On the serious side, when you say Admin, does that mean Ops? (Operations, which is pretty much the same job as Data on Enterprise and Harry Kim on Voyager...)

Administration officers are in charge of supplies, shift assignments, legal work and during battle stations An-Gel is
in charge of ox-con.:techman:
In my case the Captain trusts my judgment and the fact that I get visions of future events helps, so he keeps me on the bridge.

Okay, that's definitely not what I was thinking of. Ops is in charge of energy and resource distribution. During battle stations, Ops controls most of the stuff not covered by Helm or Security (things like shields, damage control, communications, tractor beams, transporters, and so on)...

On the Toon Avatar image of An-Gel, how did you create that? It looks a little bit like Fabrica De Herois...

I painted it in photo-shop. After all I was a cartoonist first.

Cool.

Must be nice...

I have to rely on software like Hero Machine or Fabrica De Herois to do stuff like that...
What is that, and is it worth getting?

Those are character art programs, mainly for creating comic book type characters, which I believe can (with a little photomanipulation) be adapted for other genres (like maybe Star Trek?)...

Hero Machine has two editions and a third on the way (the first can be downloaded for free). You can try them out at...

Hero Machine 2

Fabrica De Herois has two editions (the first could be downloaded for free once upon a time but has become difficult to find). It comes from Brazil and all the text is in Portuguese (the second edition has an English translation option). You can try out the second edition at...

http://fabricadeherois.blogspot.com

I personally prefer the first edition because it was designed to create characters in a VERY Bruce Timm style (like in the Superman and Justice League cartoons by WB while back)...
