"The Elbow Test"

I have mentioned this to people so many times that I wonder if it was just a local myth that I got to passing around college.

It was suppose to explain why there are so many large breasted women in Star Trek shows.

Basically, Gene (or whome ever did the hiring) would tell the female possible to hold her elbows out infront of her and walk towards the wall. If her elbows touched first, she didn't get the part.
I heard this at CMU, Michigan, around the mid 1980's. Anyone else here it, elsewhere?

Actually, Gene would just make a clumsy grab for her boobs. If she didn't give him an elbow to the chops, she got the part.
