Do Charlene, Belle and Jeffrey appear/get mentioned in any of the Voyager novels?
It did always seem strange to me that nothing else was ever done with them.
Nah, the episode doesn't really fit for that role. We've had sequels to "Twisted" and "Shattered". The next logical episode would be "Displaced". That's when there can be sequels to other episode. You can't just deviate from the pattern.I guess we should patiently wait for Beyer to write an unexpectedly well thought-out, inspired novel that features them, but takes the story into something crazy and surprising.
Which novels are those? We've had sequels to "Twisted" and "Shattered".
but what then?
I was more explaining how I felt it was unfinished and my surprise it wasn't continued at all anywhere up to this point than asking for ideas. Rhetorically.
Because this started as a "were they mentioned" thread. I have my answer now. The only unanswered portion is @MadeIndescribable 's question which came later.
He as a hologram himself (not a Human /non-photonic inventing a family) totally leaving the two survivors behind kind of defeats the purpose of him facing pain through experiencing Belle's death. It's like they all died at once, or like he was living another holonovel. Sue Jeffrey, Charlene and he become closer when their family shatters, but what then?
It's my reason for why I feel that it's odd that they're a one-off. I sometimes just get long-winded about things.
I expected the thread would continue with that other poster's question being answered, or more people agreeing with my original "wonder why".
