Spoilers The Doctor’s Tardis

Ooh. Thought. Lawrence Miles (and some of the other novelists) played with the idea that TARDISes retroactively created the Time Lords to justify their own existence (i.e. the "tools" of the Time Lords are actually their creators) and were secretly guiding events from behind the scenes (the Doctor's TARDIS was seen as developmentally challenged because she just wanted to be part of events rather than shaping them, much like the Doctor).

Now, who really fits the title "The Timeless Child"?
I also really like this idea. It's a clever out-of-the-box twist. Unfortunately, even as a Chibnall defender, I don't think what we'll get will be nearly as cool as this. But I would love to be wrong.

Love it.

Anyone with a keener eye than I pick out any clues or details from this new Tardis?

Is it the same console set as we’ve seen before? Twice upon a time? It looked somehow smaller to me. And the CGI exterior. It looked Hartnelly to my eye.

My take on the console room:

A lovely glamour shot of this TARDIS console room was released - I found it on Reddit and it's now my phone wallpaper. I love its callbacks to the Classic series with a few modern twists.

The console itself is indeed from the 2013 docudrama and its assorted subsequent uses. The room is partially cobbled together from wall elements from "Twice Upon A Time", re-using some of the larger round-things walls (notably the one from "Hell Bent" with the doors that are waaaaay too short). However, the wall with the computer banks is new - it's made to resemble the similar wall in "Twice" as well as AAISAT and "Hell Bent" but it's got different round things in the ceiling and different computerey elements on the wall (plus the chameleon arch). The ceiling whatsit above the console is re-used, but now centred above the console and mounted into a larger lattice structure which wraps around the whole room. Other walls, like the one with the viewer in it or the one where the Doctors materialize, are new; and most notably, the console sits on a raised dais of sorts, with its own round things on the flooring - this is quite reminiscent of the 9th/10th console room arrangement.

Overall, I think this is meant to loosely echo Jodie's console room set more than anything, being presented as more of a "chamber" with regular wall segments and so on, lit columns on the side, and so on. It's definitely smaller than the "Twice" room, and arguably more detailed, which signals hope that we'll see more of it this year.

Classic console room needs more panda on a chair. Sheer poetry.

Did Paul Magrs ever link Hartnell's stuffed panda to Iris Wildthyme's talking panda companion?

Anyone who's going to complain if the writers do a 180 and completely contradict something previously stated emphatically in the show, and do so brazenly with a chuckle and a thing happening.... have you not seen this show before? They can do whatever they want, and if down the line, someone else decides to change it again, they will. And have done. And will again.
