News The Disney+ (The New Streaming Service) Thread

I went straight to the Disney Afternoon shows from back in the day. Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers, Tail Spin, Darkwing Duck etc. Each show stated off with a premiere “movie” that was broken up into 5 parts the first week they launched. Those are all missing and the shows start with the first episode from the following week.

The premiere for Darkwing Duck is apparently marked on Disney Plus as episodes 29 and 30 (Darkly Dawns the Duck). I haven't checked the others you listed.

Tron Uprising appears to be missing it's first episode. I was looking at it, and it starts with episode 2.

They also have the premiere of Talespin later in the season.
The '90s Spider-Man also stars with with 3x10, then jumps back to 1x1, and in appears to go in order from there, except the gap for 3x10.
The episode orders just appear to be jumbled up.

for some reason the premiere episodes are in the middle of the run order.

I watched the first episode of The World According to Jeff Goldblum tonight and that was a very interesting, in sort of a trippy way, show. Apparently it's only 12 episodes long so it will go pretty quick. Looking forward to the episode on ice cream.

I watched my first movie on the service with Oliver and Company. It was a movie I’ve been wanting to see for a while and this service will allow me to see or revisit movies I haven’t seen for a while. As for the movie it’s incredibly average but I still enjoyed the music a lot. Heck I do think “Why Should I Worry” is one of the coolest songs to come out of the Disney collection.

I think I might be interested in exploring Disney of the 80s and what lead to the renaissance with Little Mermaid. Evidently this was a dark time for Disney and considering the animation and forgettable story for Oliver, I might have reminded myself why.

Watched The Black Hole a little while ago, and I enjoyed it. There was a rather strange bit at the end, but other than that I liked it. It had a nice score, and some very impressive sets and model work. The model for the Cignus 1 was especially cool. It doesn't really stand up to the best of Star Wars or Star Trek, but I liked it.

The strange bit is the best part. :)

I love The Black Hole, I also started rewatching it yesterday. It's not super great, (except it is through my lens of nostalgia) And it has great robots. Maxamillian is fucking awesome.
It's a great idea at it's core--a ghost ship being found.

Edited to add: one thing that is objectively great is Barry’s score.

Had an interesting glitch watching a Toy Story Short. After the normal credits it plays a short foreign language credit. when trying to watch the video again it just goes back to the foreign language credit section, instead of the beginning of the short.

Turns out I was wrong, and they do include extras with the movies. Most of them are just trailers or clips, but some do have featurettes and deleted scenes.

Are the Marvel One-Shots included? There were one shots featured in the bonus material for Thor, Captain America the First Avenger, The Avengers, Iron Man 3 and Thor the Dark World.
