The Credits were going in the Wrong Order.

I'm watching the News Room, and the montage to laid back music showing the origins of Broadcast News growing towards the....

Start with clips from Picard's movies, then Janeway, Sisko, Picards TV, Kirks movies, then young sexy Kirk and then you start making shit about the colonization of known space, the Romulan war and then Finsh with Bakula in old man make up signing the Federation Charter in front of a multi specied throng.

It seems kinda obvious?

If you did that, wouldn't you have to pay the actors royalties for every episode, since you are using their images? I seem to recall some issue about using James Cromwell's footage from First Contact in the IAMD's teaser.

Money. the reason we didn't has T'Pau sexing it up with Jackson Archer.

The credits are as they stand: Look how Amazing it that we have come so far! WE ARE AWESOME!!!

But it's the prequel.

They ain't done shit.

Not only have they not done shit for the last century but Earth's Vulcan Overlords have put a moratorium on the expansion humanity endeavor and drive. Their overprotective caretakers have no faith in mankind not to get an owie when crossing the street.

The credits are a lie.

Man doesn't have an unstoppable and unquenchable drive to take space by the balls and wrestle it into submission, because that drive has been stopped and quenched for th last 10 decades by fear. Fear that Word War IV will be fought between stars and between different alien civilizations as man leads the way in how to be a giant asshole. Fear that their backward technology is going to be laughed at by every one they meet in open space that they're most likely to end up as rapable food in some klingon dining brothel. Fear that if they stick to the vulcans time table that Sol with go cold before they're allowed to stand on thier own two feet. Fear that everything will go wrong if they ever go against their green blooded masters orders.

Sigh.

But would it be so bad to pass few grand off to all the other actors form years gone by if it made the credits for Enterprise just a little more kick ass that it could have made it seaosn 7?

Plus it would have helped DVD and VHS sales.

Oh, I disagree. The credits document the amazing progress of mankind from wooden boats traversing the sea to leaving the planet entirely and beginning to build in space. Achieving space flight was awesome in the purest sense of that word. Enterprise was about that next step in exploration -- deep space, and the credits take us up to that point. Your version would be interesting and engaging, to be sure, but the actual credits tell an equally compelling story.

I probably agree with you to some degree if it's taken me 84 thousand hours to reach this new epiphany.

It's just that the origins of man theme they got going on in the first 3/4s of the credits is true about any show set on earth staring human beings from Hill Street Blues to Grays Anatomy.
