I have just watched Dark Page again. I always find it very moving as we also lost a child albeit 30 years ago

As far a Majel, I caught Dark Page a couple of months ago, and was just taken aback by how good she was. I guess its a case of not really appreciating what she had brought until I was older.

It never shows up in any fan's Top 10 and it is indeed a winner, an effective character-driven episode with liberal doses of humor. Episodes like this, The Perfect Mate, The Outcast and The Host are examples of the solid dramatic work accomplished on TNG but without the prominent action or sci-fi element they rarely get mentioned.

I enjoy The Cost of Living, but The Perfect Mate is definitely one of my favorites. Glad you mentioned it.

As Alanis once said 'Isn't it ironic...don't ya think'. Half a Life was just on here last night. Once again I was newly impressed by Majel's performance. And as always, David Ogden Stiers was brilliant. The ep was much better than I had remembered.

Half a Life is my favorite Lwaxana episode. The chemistry between MJB & DOS is so compelling.

It's a fun diversionary episode. Although Lwaxana is an "overloaded" character, Majel Barrett is always great to see... guess it's the TOS connection that I enjoy.
