The Colony - USA Network

Watch it again. They weren't sure what they were looking at. Will has repeatedly asked people if they've ever "seen one" over the course of the show.

Anyone else think the timejump was a bit jarring at the beginning of the episode? I was wondering if I had missed an episode. And then I was wondering if this was the first episode of season 2..

How much time was jumped? I actually went back to the previous ep in case I'd missed one because I had no idea what was going on.

As to the thing in the train.. that might not be one of the invaders. It might just be one of their automated soldiers. OR it might not be automated at all and under the helmet is the Breen.

They don't know what it is and we don't either, hope we find out next week.

For the record, I don't think it's human technology. Some of it is just too advanced. Humans couldn't have built that huge wall so quickly. It would be interesting to know if it was actually built there, or just placed there. We don't hear anything about it being constructed and it seems to have been in place so quickly.

Also, I had this crazy thought. Why build such a huge freaking massive wall? Yeah, they want to keep the humans in. But, you don't need to make a 300 foot wall for that. It could be much shorter yet still impossible for people to get over. It's also very wide.

Based on the sounds in the wall, it's also meant for holding something inside of it. But, why 300 feet. Then I wondered, what if it's to keep the water out as the aliens change the climate? I looked this up. If all the ice in the polar ice caps and glaciers of Greenland melted, sea level would rise by 270 feet. So, the wall could've been built to 300 feet to keep out the water with some extra safety margin. I wonder if the walls around other cities which aren't coastal are shorter?

Maybe the moon base has to do with modifying the weather? Maybe reflecting ,more sunlight onto the Earth?

Guesses as to how much will be revealed in the finale on Thursday? Obviously somethings won't be answered and the revelations will lead to new questions. Looking forward to it!

Well, the most we know is that the suit is humanoid. Could be anything inside. Machine or alien or alien machine.

I was thinking it was going to be a kid, since it was fairly short. Interesting shape to the helmet, though.

Fairly anti-climactic episode; would've thought they'd have made it a bit more gripping, if they expect us to still care by the time it comes back.

Halfway through I thought it was great but it didn't really deliver.. the big surprise being she's on cam, meh. Still a good show.

The invasion must have been done by drones since only two raps were killed in Dallas.

Drones wouldn't turn a city to glass.

That's a nuke, a mass driver, a solar mirror, or an orbital laser.

Uniform consistence heat covering 100s of square KM simultaneously.

They did that after the two raps died as punishment. I just think it's interesting only two died, though I guess that should not be a surprise since no one has gotten their hands on any until now.

I assumed that the 2 Raps died after we Humans surrendered.

They foolishly thought that this was their world now, so it must have been a safe enough place to roam through without having to worry about explosions or sniper fire.

The Civis Romanus, made it clear for centuries that if a Roman citizen was ever murdered by a barbarian inside the Empire, that 200 members of that Barbarians tribe would be rounded up for crucifixion including members of the perpetrators own family.

So that was clearly not a human inside that suit, based on the shape of the helmet. Though since they couldn't even take the dang thing off, we don't even know if there was anything inside the suit.

I'll agree that it didn't quite deliver as much as I had hoped in either the drama or the answers department, but I certainly intend to come back for season 2.

They've made it a point to mention the sounds in the wall many times now, so that's clearly going to be something they examine in the future.

It'll be interesting to see where they pick up next season. Will it start immediately with Will searching Santa Monica for his son? Or another timejump where a new status quo is introduced. One thing's for sure: don't trust Pasdar. As for who's watching Katie, it's either the Raps or the resistance engineer trio, right? I guess it could be dating service lady who works with Will and Carl Weathers at the police, but she doesn't seem as likely as the first two. Speaking of Carl Weathers, he's gotta show up again, right?

Ugh, agree with the consensus that this one was a bit anti-climatic. This episode didn't really add much and was more to set up the next season. I'm glad there is a next season, but I wish they'd done more to make this an interesting episode.

I've been enjoying the whole setup this season, with the humans working for and against the invaders. However, moving forward, we're going to have to start getting more details about the Raps. Just learning more about the layer of human collaborators will start to get old. So, I hope the showrunners are prepared to make that switch in focus.

I almost wonder if these Raps are just a small band of aliens who maybe got stranded on Earth or something? Losing 2 would be huge in that scenario. It would also emphasize their advanced powers if a small group could enslave an entire world. Fits with what we've seen to with how there just aren't many Raps around to be seen!

And, dang it, we have to wait until 2017 for the next season?! Hopefully it's more than just 10 episodes!

So. Time travel?
Yeah man, they're totally not even aliens even though the characters in the show itself referred to them as that. And yeah, humans from the future are, like, going to mutate with elongated skulls and stuff, too. And were those three or four fingered hands with longer than average fingers? Totes another future human mutation.

Definitely not aliens though. Cause the producers said they weren't, and you have to believe everything they say. JJ Abrams told me so.
