^Resolution is unlikely. NBC cut the season to 10 episodes while episode 10 was in production (I think), so I doubt the producers will have had any time to add any closure, unless they do some quickie thing with editing and voiceovers or something, which would probably be less satisfying than leaving the story open-ended. At least in that case you can imagine the characters' adventures continue.

If they have a lot of loose ends they could do what Kyle XY did...
On January 31, 2009, ABC Family announced that Kyle XY would not return for a fourth season.[3][4] The series finale of the show aired on Monday, March 16, 2009, at 9/8c on ABC Family, leaving several unresolved dramatic cliffhangers. Following the last episode, writer Julie Plec revealed what had been planned for further seasons.[5] She also noted that the season three DVD would contain a "mini wrap-up" feature for the series.[6] The "wrap-up" is called "Kyle XY: Future Revealed", with the writers and actors explaining their plans for future episodes and what would have ultimately happened in the series.

Although a DVD feature like that wouldn't really wrap anything up...it would be nice for the fans.

I think what crippled this show was its very weak pilot episode. I'd lay good odds that it was written as a 2-hour pilot but hacked down to 1 hour before filming. It's so cursory and rushed that it almost has to have been. So the show got off to a very bad start, and that doomed it.

The draft of the script that I read was for a 1 hour pilot. There were more character interactions, like with the Chief of Police (or whatever he was) before he got killed. Little things. Also, the reveal of Orwell's relationship with Chess.

And I actually liked the pilot script.

My guess: the chopped for pacing and time (ie, more commercials). And I think that really affected the quality.

I loved Kyle XY.

Let me rephrase that.

I haven't seen the DVD conclusion of Kyle XY, but I heard it was lame, and really not well done at all.

I was a fan of the show, but the third season was so bad I just stopped caring. The first 11 episodes are all you really need.

Oh ok. Yeah I liked it alot the 1st season and even some of the second...but it got away from it's charm in the second season and fell off in the 3rd.

It's so horribly cliched and generic. I mean, it's even called "The Cape." Cuz, see, he has a cape. Cuz, see, he's a Superhero.

When I first heard talk of the show I thought it was going to be about Cape Canaveral....or possibly Cape Cod. Didn't occur to me it might be a superhero reference.

Oh, but what's clever about it is that the cape isn't just a decoration, it's the source of his "powers." It's made of a miraculous material and can function as an extension of its wearer's body and function as a club or a rope or what-have-you, and it's superstrong and even weapon-resistant up to a point. Plus it has a complex and dark history behind it, and there have even been intimations of something mystical about it. So it's not generic at all.
