The Burn and Time Travel Ban are incompatible

And groups like the Emerald Chain who don't care about others at all?
Where are they going to get a time machine when none of the major powers left has one? They're more concerned with finding more dilithium anyway, gaining more and expanding is likely their main goals right now. Why spend limited resources chasing a tech that is no longer available, because they aren't sitting in a warehouse somewhere, and information that may not even be recorded anywhere?

As well as tech that might not work if they don't plug it in right? I mean, if the person doesn't come back then you're out a ship and a person when those things are a little tight right now.

Build one, it doesn't take a rocket scientist at 31st century technology levels.

As to the information not being anywhere, that's silly, treaties don't erase knowledge.

Not erasing.

But, spending time, money, resources, and people in a time when those things are more limited for something that may or may not gain you a huge advantage. It is a huge cost that is not being calculated here. Just throw people at it until it works is not a good tactic.

And you would be wrong, unless you really want to claim everyone went around erasing their people's memories whether they were willing or not.
No, it takes skills, training and resources to build complex machinery. You can’t pop into IKEA and pick up a time machine and build it in your living room, even in the 32nd Century

I take it you forget Danials building a temporal transporter out of blasted ruins?

Here's a theory about the Temporal Accords that just popped in my head: The Accords are enforced by the Monks of Boreth.
