Spoilers The Blacklist - Season 5 Discussion Thread

Well, before the show starts, I'm going out on a limb here and restating my guess from above: the bones in the duffel belong to the real Raymond Reddington, and the guy that Spader has been portraying for five seasons is an imposter who does not want this fact to revealed as it would likely destroy him and everything he's done.

I mean, that would be a really big reveal.

Well, despite the reveal, there's still a LOT of questions to be answered. Next season could be really interesting, and I'm willing to bet how it will all end. But we'll get to that idea of mine down the road.

:techman:

In an interview with the showrunner, he says this has been the plan all along and that James Spader always knew. Well at least he knew who he wasn't. He might not know who he really is.

As wild as that theory is, it would explain why they stopped to pick up Dom before burning the bones. And it would explain Kate's apology to Katerina when she dug up the suitcase in the first place.

Anyone still watch this show? Season 6 returns on Jan. 3 and Jan. 4. Really feels like this will be the end of the road for The Black unless they don't have anything better to replace it with.

Speaking of not having anything better to replace it with, have you heard of NBC's new show, The Enemy Within? Jennifer Carpenter plays a former CIA agent turned traitor who is enlisted by the FBI to track down a notorious criminal. I'm surprised they didn't name her Rayna Reddington.
