Spoilers The Blacklist - Season 5 Discussion Thread

This was a fun episode and while Red's solution to get the treasure was ridiculous it was funny. This show works better for me like this. Red is an over the top anti-hero more fit to a pulp era character facing off against Buckaroo Banzai or The Shadow.

Red and The World Crime League vs Buckaroo Banzai and The Hong Kong Cavaliers, when can we get that movie?

Once again, I find myself wondering if Katerina is really still alive and if she is, does Dom know? What was it that he was urging Red to tell Liz, just before Red ended the call?

So, it appears that Johnny Coyne's character is a Federal Marshall and we're still no closer to learning who's in the suitcase. All in all, I'm finding this season to be more intriguing than last year.

Haven't watched it yet. I think even hubby has finally reached his limit. Last night, he asked what was on the DVR. I told him, "The Blacklist." He went silent for a moment, frowned, and then turned on Netflix.

^

I think that's how I've come to feel about the X-Files these days.

:ack:

I won't say much until you do watch this ep, but I now have a pretty good idea of where the rest of the season is headed. We haven't seen the last of Walter yet.

Still hanging on to this show by my fingernails for its occasional flashes of scenery chewing by Spader. In contrast, I still have a shameful vice grip on Gotham... :p

So, is this gal really the missing Jennifer Reddington, or is this some bizarre play by Garvey to get at Red? And I still think that Garvey looks like a Sontaran from Doctor Who.

This late in the season there's no reason for it to be a fake out. What this does is give Liz something that she can leverage against Red. It also gives Garvey a connection to Red that goes back 20 years, so there better be a payoff with him and the bones instead of getting swept under the carpet.

I'm still trying to decide who's in that duffel bag, what secret that could be so important to Red to keep it quiet (and away from Liz) no matter what. So yeah, I hope it's a good payoff.

Anyone still watching?

If the only clue we have to go on is that Jennifer never had anything to worry about, what are the possible revelations about the bones? Red not actually being Red seems to be the only reveal that would have any punch to it.

I still watch it for Spader but I gave up a long time ago on their mysteries that will change everything you thought you knew.

Yeah I'm still watching as well, because of Spader and for who's in the bag.

I still can't come up with something huge enough to warrant his paranoia on this, unless Red really is an imposter and the real Reddington is in the bag. But if so, how could he fool so many people for so long who would've known the real Red?

Just a reminder to anyone who's still watching (besides me) that tonight is the finale. At long last, we learn the identity of who's in the bag.

I'm planning on watching it live and posting thoughts as the hour progresses. Hope I might have some company.
