The Blacklist - Season 3 Discussion Thread

I looked around to make sure no one else had started this yet, so I thought that I would. We're two eps into the new season, Red and Lizzie are still on the run, but at least they're doing it in style now. I found the premier was a solid opener, but this past week's ep showed the brilliant way that Reddington hatched what appeared to be a desperate plan, confused everyone and pulled it off with style. And he got a piece of pecan pie to go! The man has a Walter Bishop-like obsession with certain foods.

I know this has been a hotly debated topic about the show, but I'm still convinced (now more than ever) that Red's her biological father. Nothing else explains the lengths he has gone to in order to keep her safe. I imagine this subject will be drawn out over the course of this season, just like last year.

OK, those are my thoughts for the moment. Hope others will be on board in the weeks to come.

:bolian:

Since she's on the run from the FBI now are they still doing "case of the week" storylines?

I think when they started writing this season, the first thing written on the white board was "How can we make the FBI look even more stupid?"

Spader remains the sole reason I watch. Although the new Cabal baddie is pretty good too...
Agreed.

However, new baddie has now blackmailed and tortured Dembe. He hasn't long to live.

That is soooo true. Once Red finds out what this guy has done, his days will be seriously numbered.

Then again, Dembe may simply take care of the dude before Red finds out.

Yeah, not the greatest BL ep ever, but I guess it's setting the stage for further mayhem and action.

On the plus side, Navabi looked smokin' hot.

Tonight's episode's evil villains: small farmers!

I'm enjoying this season so far. I like Lizzy being completely on the run working with Red. Hell, in this episode she actually seemed to be totally into it.

And, as usual, Aram is apparently the only FBI agent who is actually good at this job. That guy deserves a freakin' medal.

Ditto that. He makes Ressler look like a complete idiot at times.

Won't get to see the new ep for a few days. Hope we learn a bit more about the info from the Fulcrum that Red's hoping to make use of.

OK, really not happy to see Paul back in business. I like the actor the character---OY.

Please, please, please don't let Dembe die.
He looked pretty darn dead though, dang it.

WOW. First the Marines, then the FDNY, then acting. I hope he gets that documentary made; this guy is awesome.

Imagine how much better this show would be if it was about Red & Dembe, hunting down the Blacklisters. Agents Ressler, Aram and Navabi chasing after them, always one step behind.

IMBD has Dembe still listed in the next few episodes, so I hope that means he's still alive and not only appearing in flashbacks or "previously ons."
