The Blacklist - Season 3 Discussion Thread

So the preview for next week shows "another" Raymond Redington who accuses our Red of being an imposter. Perhaps Red's name IS on the Blacklist - just that it's a name associated with someone else. Intriguing...

That was an amazing conclusion to this storyline. I'm really glad that it took us a half season to resolve this, and that there wasn't a magic reset button and Keen still doesn't get to keep her job. Way to stick with the consequences. And what a delicious exit for the Director :-D

But now she'll remain partnered with Red, and only occasionally interacting with the feds. Her primary scene partner has changed.

Megan Boone was on Live with Kelly & Michael this morning. She's very pregnant. No hints at upcoming story, except there might be some strategic camera work. ;)

^indeed. She'll probably behind a desk or have a briefcase in front of her for the next few episodes.

Tonight's episode was a good gear shifter as we move from the previous story into a new one. The imposter stuff was fun, and I liked seeing Red taking steps to clear his bad name with the criminal underworld. Again, I'm glad that they deal with consequences.

I was a little confused with the Cabal being this vast international conspiracy, though. I thought it was about the US looking to start a new cold war with Russia.

Watched 'The Vehm' last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. It seems to me that despite Tom's efforts to actually give Liz a normal life (or as close to it as possible) she seems to be allowing herself to be drawn further and further into Red's world.

I loved the fact that it was Aram who wrote the glowing comments about Samar into Ressler's report. At the end of the day, Ressler proved himself to be a douche once again.

:D

^Yeah, I figured that out from the moment she was told about it. I knew it had to be Aram. Ressler would have never stood up for Samar.

You know, of all the characters who are NOT RED OR HIS CREW, Aram is the only character I actually LIKE. I don't particularly like Liz or Tom or any of the FBI.

I couldn't agree with you more, auntiehill. Aram needs to become one of Red's crew in the future.

Speaking of the future, I wonder what 'war' Red is making reference to.

^The one with the cabal--or the people behind the bigger "cabal," I would assume--all those shiny little dots on his magical map of the THE BIG BAD.

I have felt from the start of the series that Red wants daddy's little girl to take over the empire since he can't live forever.
