We just had our Australian final and a guy call Bob won. He is 57 years old and he lost I think it was 84kg or just over 52% of his weight, a good 5% clear of the second placed person, his 27 yo daughter. This year was a "couples" competition and they were the only couple remaining.

I'm hoping that Tara can somehow pull this off. Can't stand Filipe or Ron and Mike is getting a little annoying too. Helen is just…there. I don't hate her but I don't especially like her. Unfortunately I think she might make it to the end, because this is what they usually do each season…the quiet nice female who you don't hate but don't love makes it to the finale. That person won last year.

It's really too bad about the injury last week. I felt really bad for Laura, because that was obviously a serious injury and I was worried that she would go home and just gain all the weight back because she couldn't move much. Especially since she was always the wishy-washy sort of one, not too confident in her weight loss and certainly never pushed herself like Tara does. I was happy to see that she had not gained the weight back and had even lost a little.

I can't stand Ron anymore and I REALLY hope he goes tomorrow night. Even though I don't think he's the biggest threat to Tara, I just wouldn't be happy if he made it to the finale. He's a very selfish and manipulative person. I'm not upset about his game play antics, I just think he's a mean person in general.

^^ Agreed about Ron, I know it's all in the editing, but he went from concerned father to weasel pretty quick. I'm ok with either Tara, or Mike winning.

^ I don't mid Ron. He doesn't sugar coat why he is doing what he is doing and he has made it plain that he'll do whatever it takes to keep his son there. He's not scheming behind anyone's back.

^What bothers me about him is that he acts like he's the boss of everything, like it should be his choice who stays and who goes each week. This was especially apparent in his "No, it's your time to go" comments that were mentioned earlier in the thread. He just acts like he's the god of the show and should make all the decisions. It seems really selfish and egotistical.

Tara has crossed over from confidence to arrogance. She just really rubs me the wrong way. I guess I'm pulling for Mike. When he's not caught up in Ron's gameplaying, he seems like a really good kid.

So how does everyone think it will go down tonight? I didn't bother voting for Mike or Ron because I could not decide between them. Basically I really want Tara to win and so I tried to base my vote on who she could more easily beat, but honestly they both have their strengths and weaknesses and I couldn't choose.

If Tara doesn't win my second choice would be Helen.

I'm really not sure who the at home winner will be. There's a lot of great choices this season.

I read that during tonight's show they will announce some possible contestants for next season and we get to vote for who we want to be on the show...that will be interesting!

I was hoping that Tari would have won, she never ever got below the yellow line, but losing over 160 lbs would be hard for any of us to do I guess, but I must say she looked best of all of them.

I would have been ok with either Tara or Mike, but I can't stand Helen. She's selfish, and she screwed over her own daughter on two occasions so she could stay on the show, and she is just so damn overly dramatic.
Also, did the finale really have to be three hours? We recorded it and just fast forwarded to the reveals and weigh-ins.

I wish that Tara had won too. Even though Helen technically lost more, it feels like Tara should be the winner. She really deserved it. Helen is just like the girl who won last year, very boring and just sort of there. She tried hard and all but Tara really showed strength and determination that no one else on the show has had.
