The Big Bang Theory

I'm pretty sure Raj was wearing Worf's actual warrior sash. It was too big on him and it looked like it was the same one. Lord knows I've seen it enough to examine it closely.

I'm a bit puzzled at why they dubbed Amy's lines in this episode . . .
I didn't notice, I was too busy being embarrassed by the whole "nerds in public" scenario. I mean, really, a slurpee toss and someone yelling "Nerds!"? What, did they bring the writer of Weird Science out of suspended animation for the episode?

That scene was written by Ryan Murphy.

Really? Because I was going to say that John Hughes seemed more like an old fashioned cemetery plot sort of guy than suspended animation... I might have seen his grave in a documentary they made about him last year.

Although he's been dead for 3 years and Home Alone 5 just came out.

The uniform I borrowed from a friend for this was pretty much perfect:

...and that was 20 years ago.

I thought Raj had better Klingon make up than Michael Dorn did in season one

I think that was my favorite scene of the episode. Sheldon's speech was so poignant and moving, and then NERD! The timing was just perfect, I was laughing out loud for that one.

I've seen the pilot episode for the first time, and I was surprised that it begins in a sperm bank with Leonard saying that Sheldon usually masturbates like a pro. In the later seasons, he is characterized as the type of asexual person that doesn't do that. He also seems to be more sociable.

It shows signs of the characters being turned into caricatures in the later seasons. Same thing happened in Two and a half Men. In the beginning, they were more or less believable people, but the more the show progressed, the more they got reduced to very simple character traits.

Sheldon turned really strange, really fast. In the second episode, he broke into Penny's apartment to clean, and in the fourth he went of the rails after being fired. I'd say the pilot is the fluke.

I enjoyed last night's christmas theme episode. The scenes with Sheldon talking from Texas were hilarious. And we got to see Penny in a bra.

I think that may have been the unaired pilot you saw, no? They changed Sheldon a bit for the series.

I think Penny, Howard and Raj didn't appear in that one, did they?

I remember there was a completely different girl next door, not Kaley/Penny.

They went to the sperm bank in the actual pilot.

The other girl actually moved into their apartment. Howard and Raj weren't there, but another girl was. Who Sheldon had sex with at one point.
