The terrifying thing (therefore terribly funny) thing is that string theorists really do take competition like Sheldon! The name Lubos Motl comes right to mind.

Methinks Sheldon has a crush on Leslie, unbeknownst to himself.

Excellent.

Would be a interesting plot for the character though the way it was written I do wonder if this was her last episode ?

The episode was good but I was pissed about the breakdown of Sheldon/Penny though I do wonder if the only way they were allowed to get together in season 1 was due to the writers strike and incase they did not get a 2nd season they wanted a happy ending.

Loved the line about how all comic bad guys had PHD's :guffaw:

^ I thought I read somewhere that Leslie had been upped to regular this season (I think on TVGuide's website).

Leslie will become a regular character later in the season. ;)

Well I for one like how the writer's are moving things around a little. Comedy show writers know you have to tease the audience a little here and there to keep the interest up. The only show to successfully drag the audience along with an unrequited romance was Frasier, who brilliantly kept Niles and Daphne apart for seven seasons. I don't think these folks could pull something like that off (and they know it) so we will get Penny and Leonard taking a step forward and two steps back for a couple of seasons. I can live with that, as long as it is funny and interesting.

As for tonight's show, I thought it was above average. I especially loved the bit with Leslie and Leonard when she says she doesn't want to raise the kids with a divided beliefs. I was also howling when Sheldon was talking about the Matrix in the cafeteria. I actually had that conversation once with someone. I swear it. And that last bit about Comic Con? Priceless. I guess we all have something to live for. :rommie:

Oh and Sheldon bitching about the Renaissance Fair not being period... where have I heard that before... Deanna. :vulcan: It took two hours to convince her not to burn this woman like a witch because she had a zipper in her costume.

A rumor/news that got past me, that will not do ;)...Dunno if I want her to be more than a recurring character unless her and Sheldon have a thing.

I think making Leslie permanent will be a good thing. It would give the show some much needed estrogen and help balance out the over abundance of smart guys. Besides, Penny could use a friend/nemesis.

Basically, it would make the dynamics more interesting while adding another interesting character.

I liked the show last night. It strangely enough is playing out way too close too home with the Penny/Leonard thing though. I found myself being introspective during commercial breaks but thats for another time.

Loved Sheldon dressed as Spock at the end.
Love the idea of Leslie becoming a regular.

I think this show is really going to find its footing this year and lay the ground work for a solid 3-4 seasons worth of viewing.

Loved Sheldon dressed as Spock at the end.

He did pull that off fairly well didn't he?
Staying with the Spock theme.
During HEROES, Zachary Quinto did a 15sec commercial spot and just prior to his dialoge he gave the "one eyebrow" raise. Don't know if you saw that but it was encouraging to see and it was quite fascinating. :vulcan:

No I missed that. I missed the season premier of Heroes and I finally decided to give up on it all together. I've got a bad case of "Lost fatigue" and I just don't have any patience for "mystery" shows these days.

Would have loved to have seen that though. :)

Like this show a lot...but it's a little weird that Leslie and Leonard were MARRIED on Roseanne (it was Sarah's friendship with Johnny Galecki that led to the role in the first place).

Penny should have a roommate, IMO. Just to balance a bit. And more comic book shirts...Sheldon wears his GL shirt all the time! Let's see a few of the 500 others out there...you KNOW he owns them all. Many still in the original packaging!

I loved Penny trying to explain Schrodingers cat to her date.

She's tasted the smart guy, and can never go back! Dumb guys that have nothing to say no longer have an appeal to her! Funny as hell. Wonder also, how long it takes before she's realized this.

A voted excelent. I was laughing the entire show. I like the atention they place to little deatails, for example the green lantern t shirt of Sheldon, he has used that shirt several times. It just seems real to me.
