Loved Poe, and his interaction with both BB-8 and Finn. This guy seems to really care.

Agreed. Was touching how he greeted Finn when they met again.

I do wonder how he got thrown from the ship and left his jacket behind.

Yeah, I remember reading about that. I'm really glad Abrams decided to keep Poe around. He's probably my favorite of the new characters, despite his limited screen time compared to the others. I think a big part of that is my favorite parts of Star Wars tend to be the starfighter stuff. When I was a kid I was always pretending to be Luke in his X-wing attacking the Death Star, not Luke wielding his lightsaber against Darth Vader. I hope Poe gets a bigger role in Episode VIII. Maybe while Rey is off training with Luke and delving deeper into the Force and all that, Poe and Finn will be dealing with some more immediate threat from the First Order.

I felt that Poe looked very 1970s, between the jacket and the haircut, which seemed about right.
