Where was Star Base 324 located? Do you think the Federation fleet that tried to stop the Borg at Wolf 359 came from Star Base 324s' sector of operations?

I'd say the armada was assembled from whatever ships were closest to Earth and could get there in time. There were probably more vessels on the way, but the 40 there were all that could be put together seeing how fast the Borg were coming in.
