Robin Williams Live at Knebworth (DVD is titled What we did last summer)
A brilliant and entertaining performance with some standout moments (i still love the moment where he pulls a decent looking woman on stage during "Come undone" and she uses the moment boldly to grab his ass and have a long kiss.. and Robbie plays along by grabbing her tits and planting a long kiss on her too)
And the crowd is just amazing.. all for a single person.
Doesn't sound like standup comedy. Is this a different Robin Williams?![]()

I don't care for what's been passing as rock music for most of the past 30 years or so, so I've not seen the other stuff mentioned in this thread.
My vote would go to "Yanni: Live At the Acropolis." I was utterly mesmerized by the unparalleled talent shown by that international group of musicians, and the "dueling violins" and drum solo would have been worth the price of admission alone!
My second vote would be for the closing ceremonies of the Barcelona Olympics. That was an amazing and wonderful show the people of Spain put on!![]()
Is Yanni known for staging concerts in really exotic locations? When was the Kremlin concert? The last one I saw was when he was at the Hidden City and the Taj Mahal.
To some extent, yes, but it's more that Yanni is very much an international sort of composer/musician. His own orchestra is comprised of supremely talented people from many countries, and the same is true of the guest artists who appear in his concerts. Yanni believes that music is a truly universal language that can bring humankind together in peace and that in that spirit, we can seek a common future without all this petty "my country is better than yours" stuff that has held us back for so long. During his Acropolis concert he made a point of saying to the audience that from space, you can't see the lines on the ground that we see on a map - they don't really exist.
