The Best And The Worse Star Trek TV Series

What Star Trek show of all of them you thought was the best? Well I think all of them are great in thier own way, except for DS9. I thought that show was boring and was nothing like all the others. All the others to me, kept you into the show. There was always new and exciting things going on. The others shows were about exploring space, new worlds and new lifeforms as they say: "To bodly go where no one has gone before". Is what kept it very intersting, because there was always something going on. But with DS9, it was just nothing but a soap opera, and a space station, in which you just stay there, and not go anywhere. It wasn't that way with TOS,TNG,VOY,ENT. Anyways as DS9 was the worse show in my oppion, as far as the best show I will go with TOS and TNG. I think those shows were the best of all of them in my oppion. I really love those shows! With TOS, nothing beats that as it was the very first show, and the very heart of Star Trek. TOS, is the one that started it all, without it where would the others come from? That show brings a lot great memories along with it.

I consider DS9 the best, as it has so many great characters, great storyarcs, and Cardassians. I really love both TNG and Enterprise, but both suffer from weak early seasons. TNG has the problem of mostly being single stories, but it has great characters too. Enterprise's characters aren't as interesting as DS9, TNG, or Voyager's, but the great stories of the 3rd and 4th season are really good. I also like that it feels so realistic. When it's good, Voyager is awesome. When it's average or bad, it sucks. TOS never really caught me, and when I trried to wwatch it all I gave up near the end of Season 1.

In first place is DS9, with its storyarcs, great moving episodes, and the best villains in the form of Dukat, Winn and Weyoun.
In second place is Voyager, then TNG and TOS tied together.
Last is Enterprise, although I've only watched the Broken Bow and halfway through Fight or Flight, at which point I gave up. I may watch it again and like it better in the future, but I'll finish watching Voyager first.

I'm an obvious vote for DS9 as the best. Particularly towards the end the characters and arc's became more interesting and involved, everyone got their share of the spotlight which helped in giving diversity to the episodes while having them mostly linked and even in the earlier days when it wasn't as strong it still made the effort to do something new instead of the same template for TOS and TNG.

TOS stands second for me, then TNG third (it gets knocked down for blandness), then Voyager to the worst...

Enterprise. I liked the design, the overall look from the ship, innards and uniforms. But that was it, really. Plot's weren't as entertaining or gripping and often came off as one of those fan fics where you find yourself shaking your head at and mock the writer for trying to be cool and sexy whilst obviously priving he's living in a basement and never sniffed a woman.

Voyager only beats it as it had more potential and some stories and characters brought up the good-bad ratio.

The best are TOS and TNG. These 2 shows proves that Roddenberry optimistic and Utopian future of Star Trek works. Those 2 were the most popular by general public and casual Trek fans.
The worst is DS9. It just isn't Star Trek as Roddenberry vision it. It is soap operaish and no wonder Star Trek began declining with that show. DS9 lost more viewers then it gain by abandoning Roddenberry formula.

^ i agree with you regarding wasted potential and Voyager. However, among all the dreck are some pretty amazing episodes so it wasnt 100% waste. You just gotta dig through to find the gems.

Voyager wasn't the best of Trek, but it certainly wasn't embarrassing, despite all that wasted potential (and I agree - it was mostly wasted). I, at least, am not the least bit embarrassed that I quite like it.

I always have a big problem with these "Which is the best?" questions, though, because I really like (love, really) TNG, TOS and DS9 equally, but for different reasons. It depends on my mood.

So assuming I'm allowed a 3-way tie for first (), I'd put Voyager in the middle and ENT last. (Another case of wasted potential, if you ask me.) I really, really, really just could not get into it.

I did watch an episode or two of TAS back in the day and I didn't enjoy it at all, either. But it's been so long that I can't remember much about it (besides how silly and Scooby Doo-ish it seemed to try to cram an adventure into 22 minutes), so I'll have to leave that unrated.

DS9 is my favorite, without a doubt in my mind. Best characters, best use of premise, best music, and by far the best sense of atmosphere. To say nothing of how much growth and development everyone got. Also, it tried things that were different, and had things of consequence happen on episodes other than season bookends.

At first I thought I'd say TOS for my least favorite. It's cheesy, ham-handed, and to say that it has not aged gracefully would be putting it very kindly. But it gave me McCoy and Spock, who I love. And because of that, ENT is pushed lower on the ladder. Everyone was completely and utterly forgettable, and every ep I saw felt like TNG, only not.

4) ENT Seen Broken bow, was OK but the rest of trek is so much better. I know it got better later but to be Honest the intro was the best part of Broken bow.
