The Best and the Brightest - Susan Wright

Reading a few older Trek books and just finished reading The Best and the Brightest and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm curious, does anyone know/remember if any of this main-cast of cadets turn up elsewhere in Treklit? They seem like prime candidates to turn up in future novels/ships/stations/etc.... I DO mostly keep up with the Titan/Voy/TNG/DS9 current timelines but I just can't remember if I've seen any of these characters. *brainfreeze*

I think this came up a few months back and nobody could remember ever seeing them again.

Nope, they were never seen again (despite one being assigned to DS9)

FWIW, I want the cast of Diane Duane's Starfleet Academy videogame tie-in to resurface, too.

Oh - and I want Trial Run to be written and released too! What ever became of those cadets - what were their names? Kurt and ...?

Aww! Shame, I'd have liked seeing what happened with some of them.... guess that's why I couldn't find much out on memory beta. Would love to see one/any of them pop up somewhere...

Diane Carey, and check out Myriad Universes: Shattered Light... sort of.

I remmber that book . fantastic read . Now have you read star trek starfleet academy. very gook book there to. and then I think marvel had a starfleet academy
series had nog in it I believe.
