So I guess it's true. The Prequel Trilogy really is like ENT. It's now considered "Acceptable Star Wars".

Looking forward to when the Kurtzman Trek shows are all considered "Acceptable Star Trek", though I'll feel bad for whatever new show gets equally as trashed at that time.

Oh yeah. It's even considered "great Star Wars" and Lucas is a "genius" for how he put it together. Any problems are ignored now because of the great vision and how it lines up so well with the OT.

As someone who watched the meltdown of rage in live action with the PT, including constant mocking of Jar-Jar and the romance dialog, it's an odd change.

I mean, the outrage was intense in some circles. So, if it was an act it was a very good act. But, I always also quite young and dumb too. But I remember the "rape my childhood" style rhetoric across several fan groups, message boards and meetings I went to in college.

People literally did. There was the whole petition thing (before online ones were a big deal nowadays) asking for George to sell off Star Wars to someone who would decanonize the prequels and redo them.

It was impressive how they brought Ramis back though. How did they do that? It's good CGI if so.

They put in a physical actor who looked kinda like what they wanted Harold to look like, and CGI'd it from there.
