Spoilers The Bad Batch - Season 1 Discussion [cue A-Team theme music]

Well, that didn't take long. I'm not even going to dignify the video with a link, but I just ran across a video on YouTube with the title "The Bad Batch gives us the Mariest Mary Sue of all with Omega".

Did it seem like the Bad Batch knew that Rex had also deserted or disobeyed Order 66?

No, it seemed like they drew the most likely inference from learning that Rex had also passed through Cut's cabin since Order 66 was issued. If Rex had been 66'd and been there, Cut wouldn't still be standing there with his family. Ergo, Rex is also on the run.

All the speculation about what characters might show up later on down the line got me thinking more about what locations I'd like to see them visit. Given that the show seems set to explore the galaxy's underworld; top of the list for me has to be Nar Shaddaa. Coruscant under the Empire could also be interesting, though more specifically getting to see the Imperial Palace, and I guess a trip back down to 1313 for good measure. Corellia never got the prequel treatment, so it'd be interesting to see if it was always a squalid industrial sewer, or if that's just what a decade under the Empire did to it. They also have a bunch of worlds they for the unproduced episodes of Clone Wars that could easily be repurposed. Ord Mantell and Raxus certainly leap to mind. I also wouldn't be mad about a visit to Batuu or Takodana.

I think I saw one pop up in my YT recommendations with a title that went along similar lines, claiming that the show has had "massive backlash from the fans!" because it's "too woke".
I swear these chucklefucks think if they just yell whatever version of reality they prefer loud and often enough it'll magically come true.

I guess it's kind of impressive they waited until after the second episode to start that horseshit up.

the concept for "Clone Captain Grey" is marked "Twins"
I'm guessing they forgot to change the production logo, because the date on the concept art (3/8/19) is way too late for it to be for Season 7. It's also the same date as the concept art labelled as Cookies right before it in the gallery.

ETA: Something about Cut's adopted kids has been bothering me, so I went back and looked at the original episode they showed up in and sure enough the designs have been significantly changed!
Part of that is just the kind of aging up you'd expect from kids that young after a few years, but Shaeeah's markings (or a skin condition indicative of her human heritage) are entirely different. Whereas before most of her face was covered in a blotchy patch of what looks like a light human skin tone (kinda like partial albinism) over her mostly blue twi'lek tones; now she's looking a lot more twi leaning with black markings instead, and they only come down over the eyes and chin. I suppose one might chalk it up to the Twi version of puberty underway, or she's using make-up to hide he mixed heritage, but they also completely changed the shape of eyebrows and the colour of her eyes. She almost looks like an entirely different character.

Not that I'm complaining or anything, I'm just curious as to the reasoning behind such a significant redesign. Maybe they're retconning that they're half-human? They also made Jek's lekku decidedly less stunted than before, so that might indeed be it!

Not necessarily. There's at least one released 'Twins' concept marked as late as 2/13/19.
Maybe what happened is that the decision to use Deppa & Caleb for the Bad Batch premier happened while Twins was still in mid production, and that's when the decision was made to support the idea (and save Cookies a little time and budget) by inserting them into the opening montage for 'Twins 109'.
It shouldn't be too much of a shock that there was a fair amount of overlap on the two projects. I mean TBB is pretty much TCW season 8 in all but name and I suspect getting the former made was contingent on the latter getting a finale, along with what essentially turned out to be a backdoor pilot to springboard off from.

I just checked Wookiepedia, and was a little shocked to see that Nar Shadaa has never appeared in any of the shows. It's been such a bit part of both the canon and Legends books and comics, that I had just assumed it had.

Oh my God, this is adorable. The only time I actually noticed it while watching the show was number 11. A great example of subtle, nonverbal storytelling and characterization.

Yeah, I only noticed that last one too. Adorable, and also lends credence to my suspicion that her special ability is mimicking and learning skills (hence the sudden marksmanship), not force related. Indeed, why else have her as a medical assistant?
I tend to think about the same thing. However, that wouldn't explain all of her apparent abilities. There's still the matter of how she knew what was about to happen to Crosshair and that it wouldn't be his fault.

I guess I'm somewhat the opposite of the rest of you. I noticed Omega mimicking Hunter the first four times, but missed all the others, including the eleventh the rest of you did notice.

Simple: because as demonstrated in this episode she knew about the chips and how they work. Crosshair was the only one acting twitchy after the regs were activated, and as we see, she's very attentive.

Here's the thing, Filoni knows his audience. He knows people are going to have theories and predictions, and if he presents a precocious little blonde child in a Star Wars anything, the obvious conclusion is "she had the force!" And if said blonde child is also a clone then people are also going to jump to the obvious conclusion that it has to do with the whole Snoke/Palpatine thing. Therefore the showrunners are more likely to use that as an opportunity to deliberately misdirect.

I mean come on! They just had two seasons of a show where a group of mercs protect a force sensitive child. How likely do we really think it is that they'll repeat the same dynamic so soon after?

I didn't notice that all.

That's the best explanation I've seen so far.

The next time you re-watch Cut and Run, note how attentively Omega is watching everything Tech does when he's forging the chain codes.
