The Baby With Two Hearts

Silvercrest

Anyone ever heard of this?

Back in the 70s when I was very young, I remember seeing TV ads for a horror movie with this title. Probably a 70s-schlock TV Movie of the Week, rather than a theatrical release.

I don't know anything about it other than the title. I assume the baby in question had something more going on than just two hearts, or it wouldn't be much of a horror movie.

The odd thing is that I can't find references to it anywhere. Google, Wiki, IMDB, or anyplace else. I'm starting to wonder if I was mistaken about the title. Does this ring any bells for anyone?

It seems to fit the bill. I don't know where I got the alternate title, though. Maybe there's some dialogue to that effect?

Thanks!

I looked up the title The Stranger Within and found some plot descriptions. It seems the baby did, in fact, have two hearts.

How on Earth did you manage to nail that one?

Nothing supernatural, I assure you. A couple of weeks ago I was looking up something about Barbara Eden on her IMDB page. The title of the movie brought back some memories, and I clicked on the entry to refresh my memory. I think it's been at least 20 years since the last time I saw it all the way through.

I do remember that the original ads for the film made a big deal about showing an image of the embryo with two beating hearts, but you don't find out about it plot-wise until the movie's almost over.

I must have been six years old when that movie came out. It's amazing I remember it at all, but yeah, I do remember that image with the hearts. No wonder I got it mixed up with the title.

And you know, after all this discussion and all the reading up on it I've done, I don't have any particular desire to see the movie! Doesn't sound very interesting. Strange, huh?

Anyway, thanks!
