The Asylum's next masterpiece... "The Terminators"

Are you sure they had a Star Trek ripoff in the works? I usually check up on their site for a good laugh of upcoming movies I'll never watch, and I never saw that one.

I wonder if they'll have their own Sherlock Holmes movie out by the end of the year to ride the coattails of Robert Downey Jr.'s movie. It does only take them like two weeks to film anyway.

Yeppers, I ran across it on their site one day when I was looking for some B movie laughs, and sure enough there it was.

Been looking for the link, but it looks like I've lost it. Damn it, wish I could recall the damn title. I want to say "Star Odyssey" or something close to it.

ALSO COMING SOON:
Transmorphers: Fall of Man
The Land that Time Forgot
SexPot 3DDD
Supernova

LOL

^ If there's existing public domain property that's a lot like the movie they're trying to ride the coattails of, then they'll go that route. For example, they could do their own War of the Worlds and Journey to the Center of the Earth and keep those titles. But when Indiana Jones came out, they responded with Alan Quatermain and the Temple of Skulls. I'm still waiting for Alan Quatermain and the Crusade Raiders.

It's only a matter of time before Lance Henriksen appears in an Asylum movie that's ripping off a Lance Henriksen movie.

I seem to recall it too.

How does Asylum continue to exist? Do that many people rent their movies to continue to make more movies? I admit, I rented Transmorphers purely out of curiositym and wish I hadn't wasted a Netflix rental. It seemed like a High School production. Transmorphers 2? Really? How do they keep getting budgets when a movie like Fanboys struggled to make to to release?

I think that they prey upon older people or people that may not entirely be sure what it is.

I guess they have their small dedicated fanbase, in addition to stupid people who think the dvd they're renting at Blockbuster is somehow exactly the same as the movie currently in theaters. If grandparents see Transmorphers and think that's what their grandson has been raving about, there's more $$$$.

They're not exactly a moneymaking studio. The profits for one movie only goes to pay for the next movie. Plus they only film for like two weeks.
