Yeah, Siddle for sure.
So we've pretty much ended up with the series-winning team from South Africa taking the field for the Ashes, which is always the way it should have been.
The papers today seem to suggest S.Clark has come back from injury lacking zip and will get mauled. Hope not, I've always rated him as a bowler and appreciated his down to earth attitude on the game. I'd rather have him bowling for me than Jimmy Anderson, anyway.
Roebuck's article today was pretty spot on I think. It's a battle between Hughes and Pietersen for the big scores and Flintoff and Johnson for the wickets. The winner of each probably decides the series.
Yep, me too. He's in the "never to be repeated file" for overseas tours, but on home soil I would have thought his case for selection was compelling, but, as you mention, psychology is important in this game - England will want the first ball of the series going to second slip again, this time via the bat though

I'm mildly surprised about Harmison; after all, the series is in the UK so he shouldn't be too homesick, and when he's "on" he's a pretty useful bowler. A (potential) repeat of the opening delivery of the last Ashes series might have been fun, too.![]()
