The Animals That Aren't Dogs or Cats Thread

How do I post videos from Imgur? I keep trying all the different links on the page for the video but the boards keep telling me that it can't be added as media and if I try as an image I get the broken image symbol.

So I tried this one off the main page. It does have to be added as media, but this worked when I just copied the URL out of the address bar on the browser. It told me it couldn't be posted as media when I tried the "copy link" option under the three dots.

I tried that, but when I tried to use the add media button it still won't take it, and if I try to put the code in by hand it changes the address to this Imgur: The magic of the Internet.

I uploaded it to Youtube.

After the rain a couple weeks ago, the frogs came out at a pond I go past on my bike ride, and they were so loud. Make sure your sound is turned up for this one.

I have some videos of some of my horse friends, but since they're not my horses and I don't have their owners' permission I'm not sure if I should upload and post them. I am posting them as unlisted, so only you guys and other people I send links will see them.

Saw these hawks a couple weeks ago.

Oh yeah sure, it's cute and funny now, but it probably won't be in a few years when they're several hundred pounds bigger.

It's amazing how much babies can change in just a few months.

Most definitely.

Hippos also have one of the strongest bite forces in the animal kingdom and the largest mouth of any living land mammal.

Hippos are capable of producing around 1,800 psi ( 8,100 Newtons) with their bite. In theory, they have a strong enough bite to snap a crocodile in half if needed.

Defense is the main use for their powerful bite for. Large teeth and powerful jaws help defend from the various apex predators in Africa like crocodiles, lions, and even humans. Their aggressive nature, power, and unpredictability make them one of the most dangerous animals in Africa and the world.

A hippos bite can crush a human instantly, and it is estimated around 500 humans are killed every year by hippos. These extremely aggressive animals are known to attack humans and even their own young. Tourists or locals who wander too close have been known to be attacked and killed.

Even as herbivores, hippos are deadly and have one of the world’s deadliest bites. Their large mouths, size, and aggressive nature make them one of the world’s deadliest animals.

(Just as an aside, when I was looking for the article again to share it here, my naïve self used "hippo bites" as my search term. Not what I was expecting! Had to add "force" to the end to actually find the article. :) )
