Just in time for a looming Halloween season, there's been an outbreak of bugs at the Center.

Ugh.

Gawd, I hate those little basturds! even after washing your hands twice the stink won't go away. But I have a trick, two tissues/Kleenexes grab the bastard up and a quick flush into oblivion . Job done. w/ mimimum stink.

The key is to not squeeze or pinch them, the name is well deserved. I get one off the screen, say, into my hand and toss it outside. Or flick it outside if I can, especially if it's on the outside of a screen.

Toads are cool.

Where I grew up we had a small lake at the end of the street teeming with toads, fish, crayfish, bullfrogs, turtles.

We'd catch and keep toads all the time, and I even grew my own once from a bunch of eggs we got right after mating season.

Ours were bufo americanus in various colors

I tried raising them too unfortunately they all went from a gelatinous mass of eggs in a jar, into toad-kill. I had better luck w/ blue-gill, catfish and craw-dads, guess ya' had to "hold your mouth and bobber right. "
