The Animals That Aren't Dogs or Cats Thread

A lot of farriers travel because some people with horses don't have a trailer or don't live close enough to take them to one, but the situation you described is just ridiculous !
Oh yeah, I've seen quite a few farriers working on horses, both going past the stables and riding club on my bike, and on Istagram, but I've never seen one working in a parking lot like this.
The park is literally right between the stables and the riding club, so it's not like there aren't farriers that will come to your place around here.
It's bad enough for the merchants whose parking is being occupied by the people, horses, trailer, and equipment, but who in their right mind wants their horses in a lot where people drive like maniacs ?!
It was park, so it's not as bad as if it was a business, but it's a pretty popular park, with a steady flow of traffic. Just in the 5 minutes I was taking my break I saw at least 2 or 3 cars coming and going past them.
When I have my dogs with me I wont go anywhere that doesn't have a sidewalk or median where we can walk safely, so I can't imagine parading them in a big circle in the middle of possible traffic... :wtf:
Yeah, that was pretty much my thought too.

Maybe the horse threw a shoe and it was an emergency farrier call.....or not.

Looks like crackers or cookies or something.
I have the worst luck. We had some stuff to do this morning, so I ended up going out on my bike ride later than usual, and ended up seeing one of the two horsebacker riders I've got friendly with, kind of in passing. I tried to ask if the other rider was with her, but she didn't answer me.
The fact that only saw her once in a different part of the riding club than I usually see them, but still saw their car both times I went by, makes me think that she or they, might have just finished up their ride. If that is the case, then that means I probably would have run into them/her on the road if I had gone at my usual time.
