Damn. It looks like it was about to flick its mouth at something.

In the US, Canadian Geese are considered migratory birds and are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, meaning harming or disturbing them is a federal offense.

No offense intended, but No Shit. Their numbers have grown so large they should be exempt and Theodore Roosevelt had a hand in enacting that if I am not mistaken, and I would not harm a true migratory bird but around here they have taken up permanent residence.

And they are Still Rat-ass bastards, they attack people out of the blue. Have a shovel at the ready.

"Don't grab my golf ball you feathery s.o.b..."

None taken.

They've become a PIA. There were some many living in a nearby park years ago in Elmhurst, IL, that it looked like a scene from the original Jurassic Park where you first seen herds of dinosaurs roaming.

It's kinda sad, Canada is basically protecting a species that numbers around a billion, while most countries are struggling to protect truly endangered species.

I mean, you can hunt just about any other kind of waterfowl and ground fowl.

They're still tryna find Celozzi-Ettleson Chevrolet ;)

It'd be awesome if a more basal lineage of Perissodactyla (more so than Tapirs) managed to survive to this day. They'd make great pets...like pygmy goats or pot bellied pigs.
