I swear, horses getting their teeth done looks like medival torture, but it's actually a very important part of their care.

I got the shit scared out of me by a donkey on our walk this morning. I was walking along the path with our dog Gracie, and all of out nowhere I suddenly hear this loud noise that sounded like it was practically right over my shoulder. It took me a second to realize it was a donkey snorting at us, which they do when they're aggitated. It sound really close, but we never saw it, we did see a couple off a ways, but they were to far to be that loud. We're assuming it must have been hiding in some bushes right off the path. It literally sounded like it was standing right over my shoulder when I heard it.
We think we might know which one it was, because there's one we've seen a couple time who starts getting agitated a lot farther away than this others we've seen. Some of them get pretty close, but this one always keeps his distance and is very quick to start snorting at us if he doesn't like what we're doing. We haven't gotten a clear look to tell if they're a jack for sure, but from his size and attitude we're assuming he is.
