The Amazing Race Season 25 Discussion

I think guy wrestler asked if they were different countries, and girl wrestler just kinda rolled her eyes at him. I barely even noticed Tim and Te Jay this round. It would be nice if there had been a real penalty to failing on gas conservation beyond having to ask a passerby about capitals. Pretty sure I were racing I'd make up more time wasting gas and answering the capitals than I would by conserving and not having to do the world's easiest geography quiz.

I'm glad the Dentists got moved down a peg, they needed a beating to their ego to humble themselves a bit.

The flower pot thing was bad because the other parking lot design didn't include that, so it was just luck of the draw, if you got the one without the flower pot you moved on faster, if you chose the design with the flower pot thing it took longer to figure out. So that wasn't exactly fair.

I love when they have to drive places, I think they should have more of this than having to ride taxis's, personally, but I don't like when the show pushes an agenda or gets political and also tries to sell me a car in the same process. It was very heavy handed in this episode by having to drive there under a certain amount of fuel used etc...

I guess I'm still rooting for the surfer team.

The places they have visited so far, very beautiful, I want to go there someday.

Well, we don't really know that, do we? Maybe the teams that did the other designs just didn't get tripped up in that way. I mean, even with that flower pot they had a 50% chance of getting it right on the first shot anyways.

Phil should have taken their "save" and told them they should have waited to offer it because it was a non-elimination leg.

People who burn the Immunity Idol on Survivor don't get it back if it turns out they didn't need it.

Both the mom/daughter need to grow up. And the dentists can't be eliminated fast enough. Confidence is one thing, but these two are unbelievably arrogant.

Yeah, Probst would have taken that shit and laughed at them. But Amazing Race is more Lovey-Dovey all around.

I love Probst's handling of the flint exchange.

Between the mother/daughter I blame the mother more. I mean, that "You wanted to be in charge, so I didn't tell you about the matt". That's some serious Butters from South Park crap, like "Butters, do you mind telling me why there is RICE A RONI IN MY COFFEE?!" The mother wanted to exert complete control over the daughter, and when she tried to take some power for herself the mother passive aggressively punished her saying "You want to not do everything I say exactly? Well then you're completely on your own and I won't help you at all. That'll teach you to assert your individuality."

It's weird, I love this show, but every so often there is a season of TAR that I just can't get into. This season is one of them, and I think it has to do with the Friday night time slot.
Nothing is gelling for me here, and I can't find any of this interesting even though I've tried watching at least part of each episode. I think I have to write this one off and start again next season. Hopefully there will be a next season...

Somebody needs to explain to the mother that they're supposed to be a team.

I'm annoyed that the dentists didn't have to use their save because of a non-elimination round. I'm annoyed that they have a save at all. They and the wrestlers are my least favorite teams. Pretty much everyone else I like to some degree, although the mom and daughter team were a bit irritating in this episode. I hope the dentists don't make it to the end, though I have a feeling they will.

I don't mind the dentists because an incompetent team winning bothers me a lot more than an arrogant team winning.

I remember season 3, when the winner was a team that got saved twice by non elimination rounds (Including two episodes in a row) and threatened to quit every other other leg. I was never pissed by the winner any more than I was that season.

I'm not sad to see Shelley & Nici gone, but I wanted the wrestlers gone even more.

Through the entire episode Brooke was whining, and whining, and whining. They haven't displayed the slightest glint of intelligence, and there is only one type of team worse than the constantly fighting team: The WHINING TEAM.

You'd think if anybody would know how to make the audience root for them, it'd be wrestlers.

Tim & Te Jay are growing on me though because they showed a lot of competence in the building task and they keep doing well despite lack of physical strength.
