Yeah, mswood, I meant that I was hoping that the 2009-2010 Amazing Race(s) would be in HD. They were probably waiting to make sure they could do it on Survivor, which is more controlled.

And I just don't get why CBS doesn't understand what it has with TAR, especially since it's won the Outstanding Reality Competition Program Emmy every single year.

I'd rather not get another TAR season until 2010 if that means it's back to the old 13-episode format and shot in HD.

ETA: Andrew and Dan, you don't deserve shit.

ETA2: Is this the "make sure Tina doesn't win leg?"

Oh and here is an interesting little fact, teams only got an 8 hour pit Stop (2nd shortest one in the shows history). This allowed Ken & Tina the chance to beable to make the main flight.

It isn't known if theis was planned (the one that was earlier from an episode last year was planned in advance) or if this was done at the last minute to make sure all three teams had the possibility of arriving as a group in Portland.

That would explain why even though Toni & Dallas got their passports in the morning they didn't make it to the finish line, which is really too bad.

Oh, and this is a great challenge. Andrew and Dan are SO screwed, unless both of these teams foul up the Roadblock.

ETA: How can you not recognize the Pit Stop mat? Oh, and the picture should have been Phil's dad.

ETA2: They really should have had the teams driving themselves on this leg.

How much you wanna bet that Dan and Andrew are left doing the roadblock and get a notice that all teams have made it to the finish line already lol

Nick and Starr are very strong in this leg, i love them

Agreed, I think that they are going to be stuck on the roadblock. They're not even pretending that Andrew and Dan are in this via editing.

Just imagine this.

Imagine that Toni & Dallas had managed to finish the last leg (even without Dallas's passport and money). Imagine what this leg would have been like with just Nick & Starr and Andrew & Dan racing.

God talk about no competition. I just shudder at the idea.

ahhhhhhh the tension and suspense!!!!!!!! ahhhhhhh my heart is racing right along with Nick and Starr!

...And THIS is why the show has been all kinds of screwy this season. No-one can find a cab.

This is a very exciting finish. Starr's going to hyperventilate if they don't win. Whee!

I had to rate this season as Below Average.

There were some good locations and I liked Nick & Starr, Ken & Tina, and Toni & Dallas (and the geeks) but pretty much all of the other racers were really quite stupid. Also, many of the legs and tasks were very easy and short compared to previous years, and the season as a whole suffered as a result.

Kenny & Tina did well. If not for the cab...they would have beat them. I guess. Don't know how far behind they were. mswood?

Oh, hell...nice job, Kenny! I'm happy for them. Even Phil got choked up. That was nice.

ETA: Where are Toni & Dallas? I though they got their passports back.

I was a little dissapointed there wasn't a long run to the finish line

Overall I am happy Nick and Starr won, it was very obvious they would, they were a great team, good competition

Andrew and Dan got lucky on the last leg with Toni and Dallas's problem, I think it would have been better if Toni and Dallas were in the final leg cause it was just a 2 team race

It was a very emotional ending there at the mat

A bit. When CBS released the promo for this episode they had the teams running towards the mat. And just like season 10 (where they did the same thing) it gave away the order of 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

So wasn't any doubt on how this episode would turn out, hopefully will know by tonight how much time did separate them.

At least in the finale leg I understand why they use cabs.

Can you imagine how much risky driving teams would be taking if they were the ones driving knowing they were up for a million.

Yikes.

I also like that they have repeated the basic structure of season 12's finale episode.

One of my biggest complaints about TAR is that the finale leg is the one that is actually the easiest to win. Usually teams fly somewhere (and get all caught up in the process), then do a whole bunch of tasks in Hawaii, Alaska or Canada before having to get another flight to the destination city where of course they all catch up again and then end with just one quick task. I always hated that. You could run consistently runt eh best leg build up a 40 minute to an hour lead, have that completely disappear and have a final task that you lose by 5 minutes and a team that has been behind all leg suddenly wins thanks to having the other teams lead for the episode erased.

Now I understand them doing that at the start of the leg, but really once is enough.

So I love how they have done these last two seasons final episodes.

Team incest wins! Yay. :p
I have to wonder how far behind the Frats really were though... I imagine we'll find out tomorrow because I imagine that they'll be doing the Early Show tomorrow.

Well, this season had a 'happy' ending for me, since my favorite team won!

This is it (until February) that is, and thank god. Some horribly dumb racers this season.

Go Nick and Starr!

Maybe February for you, but I've got Season 3 of TAR Asia queued and ready to start watching! I'll start diving in next week.
