Tempers flare when one team goes back on their word and another team spirals into last place when their taxi is stolen.

Don’t miss it tonight at 8/7c on CBS!

Only 4 teams to go! Who do you want to see in the final 3?

Me personally, I'm going for Meghan and Cheyne, they've been playing the game very well, seem nice, and are really enjoying themselves.

Well, this was a pretty good episode. The detour was good because both sides were in the same place, so the teams had that extra bit of motivation to hurry up and get out of there. And the roadblock was hilarious, I swear those guys went through every room in that place.

Also, I loved what that cabbie said: "It's my car, let's go." :guffaw:

At this point, I think I'm going to go with Meghan and Cheyne, though she was getting pretty annoying with the constant "Cheyne, Cheyne, Cheyne". :p

Good episode tonight but really loved the opera singer at the roadblock. He started eating and sitting down like he was tired. Never really saw that before but it was still funny. :guffaw:

I'd really like to see Sam and Dan gone next week. I don't mind Sam all that much, but Dan is such a pain in the ass.

Is next week just a normal episode? They haven't done the fake-out non-pit stop ending yet, have they?

Also, where the heck is mswood? Haven't seem him around these threads in a while.

This episode was a non-elim leg, I would expect next episode to be the one to determine the final 3, unless they are planning a continuation leg, but I doubt it already having two non-elim legs this season.

They could do the double leg leading to the final three. It'd be the last chance to do it anyway... but then again, with the gimmick first episode, maybe they don't need to do that this season.

Next week is an elimination leg, they aren't having any To Be Continued legs this season.

The reason I haven't been posting here is I forgot about these threads (since there is a TAR site I spend most of my Sunday's on). But I always used to bounce back and fourth.

Opps.

This last weeks hit season highs in viewers and demos. The show has seen ratings growth across the board over the last two cycles.

And though CBS never announced a pick up for a 16th cycle, filming has started on the pre race footage (interviews and the lame opening credits for the cast) so real filming should start anytime.

Dan doesn't bother me, well no more so then the normal high strung racer (like Meghan and Ericka on the other two teams). The only thing that bother me about Sam & Dan is their focus on the Trotters. Which is also one of my problems with the Trotters (though they aren't as bad about it).

I hate the two gay brothers. They are so annoying, but I did like how they stole Erikas cab. I can't stand her either. I dont see how her husband puts up with her. He seems real nice and she is an overbearing shrew. I predict divorce in a few years.

I love the Harlem Globtrotters. It feels like they are holding back from just cursing someone out because they know they have an image to protect (How would it look if two Harlem Globetrotters were fighting an cursing out everybody?) Now if they were regular NBA players I can see them behaving badly. They got class so I hope they win.

The one chick and her idiot boyfriend Cheyne are okay. Cheyne is a punk with his feathered peacock hair do, but I like the chick he is with.

The perfect team would be Cheyne's chick and Ericka's husband because those are the two I like the most.

If the two gay brothers are booted off, then I really dont care who wins. I just dont want them to win.

Generally I like all the teams to some degree currently. They all have some behavior I don't care for (with the exception of Brian who just hasn't done anything bad in my opinion).

As for the trotters, in general I like them, with two real exceptions. I really thought their taunting of Mika was very uncalled for. As they have noted in 6 different times (between clips and footage) they can just hang behind and beat some one in a footrace. They even use this with the only team they see as any sort of physical threat (Sam & Dan).

Yet here they are knowing they aren't at the Pit Stop yet, making this girl's fears even worse, knowing that even if she did complete the task that they would have absolutely no problem beating her in a foot race. It's not against the rules, but it is very much poor sportsmanship on a team that didn't need the advantage.

I also strongly disliked their blaming Sam & Dan for dirty tricks at the Mud path. Dan can't see him, he can see Dan. I disliked how they promised to use more physical contact against them. They can clearly see how much room Dan takes while running. Flight Time can clearly see the path is not wide enough for two large men to pass without having physical contact. He is the one to make the choice to try and go by him, in a space that does not allow two full sized males to do so). He knows that he would have to push Dan (at least some) to get enough clearance to get around him (I used my frame and my boyfriends against the measurements of the site in question, provided by the owner and we couldn't get by each other and we are smaller then those two men).

Dan says he was pushed (accurate) Big Easy says Flight Time was elbowed (most likely accurate as elbows do swing when you are running and Flight Time does run into him and the area is his side where his elbows would be). But here is the rub. Dan is running is elbows would naturally be going out and back from his body. Its the natural form of running. Flight Time is pushing into his right side where he would natural run into that elbow. To think that Dan is doing anything wrong or not a part of normally running is ludicrous. And for Flight Time & Big Easy to accuse them of deliberate physical contact is also very questionable, as the only racer who knowingly put themselves into physical contact is Flight Time. To blame someone else for that is very, very poor sportsmanship.

Now I do disliked Sam & Dan obsessing about the Trotters, and they do appear to be the only team since Lance & Keri got booted that the guys don't like. And they have accused them of doing things, they themselves have done (as have all the other teams at this point (deliberately following others when you didn't know the way) and for using their status (for what it is worth) to get help (and we have seen them try this, we don't know if they have been successful or not the footage isn't clear).

As for Dan and Sam taking Brian & Ericka's cab, it also is poor sportsmanship, but it also isn't against the rules, and it is something that does occur during the race, sometimes quite often. That and the Oh I didn't see the clue (after you just grabbed one) is probably the two most common things racer due to mess with other teams.

Well, I still remember the team buying every seat on an airplane a while ago, so people will screw others over if they can.
Which TAR forum do you post at?

realityfanforum

They are almost completely dedicated (read psychotic) about Tracking TAR, and during summer Big Brother Yuck!!!).

For example I was one of three people out at LAX for the start of this season. I am very happy that they didn't hit their on any of my days. The person who was there got the starting line, followed them to LAX, and got pictures of all teams, and where they were going. I would never have been so thorough.

Oh and though there was no official announcement by CBS that TAR was picked up for the spring for a cycle. Filming started this morning as team left LAX on two flights to Chile.

There first destination i Wolfe's Castle.

Unsure of 11 or 12 teams but description of racers are coming in.

On negative. Reality Stunt casting for one team. As two racers are from Bg Brother.

The only downside of spoilers (is because its really fun figuring out where teams are going, what they are doing, ect. Is that since All Stars have known the final three (hell one year the complete boot order) before it ever starts airing. Hell Nick & Starr season new where the finish line was before racers got to Portland (came this lose to buying a ticket up there to track them).

But then I remembered All Stars. And there was a a group of fans who discovered that they would be going to Kuala Lumpar, specifically the Batu Caves. Once there the followed and assisted Charla & Mirna throughout the entire leg. From helping Charla perform a tasks (collecting and carrying lots of newspapers, to giving them directions and large sums of cash).

Personally I wouldn't tried to screw with that team. Luckily that was a leg that another team was over half a day behind so they didn't impact that leg, but they would have never finished so easily nor had a lot of extra cash to get assistance with in cabs later in the race.

So I have learned look don't touch.

Hah, I wonder if there are rules that prevent that kind of interference now?

I'm sure people would just like to help teams just for the story.

NO it is not against the rules for people on the street to help racers. It happens all the time from money, to directions, to use of phones, ect.

But with All Stars or any season with people who might have some fame outside of being a racer with a film crew around you For example this season both the Trotters and the Poker players were recognized outside of being a team of two being filmed.

The only limits I am aware of are that one can't keep electronic equipment (from mp3 players, computers, and cell phones) given them, they also can't beg for money in the starting Airport (usually LAX). THough they can get people to buy them things in LAX.

But people who are recognize do get an unfair advantage is all sorts of ways.

Now of course even average joe racer gets more help then I would on vacation due to having a two person film crew following me around everywhere (it makes people help more then what they might normally).

I miss teams running out of money and being able to beg for more money, it made for good TV, though I understand it looks bad in poor countries.

Well I hated seeing teams beg for money (due to the non elimination), but I did love earlier seasons (before people around the world started recognize what the racers were) and they really had to watch the amount of money they had. LAter seasons it became so easy to beg (and successfully get hundreds of dollars) mainly used to either hire cabs or even locals to direct them were tehy needed to go.

One of my favorite things about seasons 1-9 is watching teams have to driv long distances (and often) and seeing how good or bad teams were at actually navigation with a map and just directions from locals.

But after that we either got seasons with very, very little driving by teams (seasons 12-15) or driving a lot but just hiring cabs to take you (seasons 10 and 11).

I can't wait for next week (as while I know what teams make the final three this is the first season since 9 that I didn't know what order they finish in) so I will be very happy to see how it all plays out.

I think they should just get rid of the limited money per leg thing altogether then. It does seem like an anachronism now.

I do wish that they'd bring back the Fast Forward every leg now. It was just an interesting way to shake up the order, whereas nowadays the top 4-5 is almost guaranteed by the first few episodes.

Still, I figure if you get on the race, you find a way to advertise that fact to fans and hope that they can basically carry your way through every leg.
