The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

I don't have any videos on YouTube but quite a few photos of my collection are posted near the beginning of this thread and throughout as I acquired new figures. Take a look at 'em and lemme know what you think.

I've recently fallen out of the habit of snapping pics of all my new purchases and acquisitions due in large part to neglect (and taking forever to replace the battery in my camera), but there are plenty of earlier pics strewn throughout the thread if you're interested.

I'm not much of a Lantern fan and never really have been, but that's mighty damn cool looking.

Clint and Tasha react to the latest Doctor Who episode...(sort of a spoiler)

"Doctor! Take us with you! We wanna be your new companions!"

Tasha's a redhead and Clint has the nose...:p

New acquisition. DC Collectibles is doing a con-exclusive line of 4 inch scale Green Lantern figures. The first release is this one of Kyle Rayner and Kilowog. John Stewart and Atrocitus will be coming at NYCC. Thankfully, they're all going to be available online, too. The bad news is that these are too small to fit in with Marvel Universe, and related 4 inch lines. They do fit in pretty well with Star Wars, though.

Speaking of which, I found the scraps and remnants of at least one case of the Lost Line/Jar Jar wave of Vintage at a local Walmart late last night...there wasn't much left at all but there was a VC112 Sandtrooper left hanging behind a couple of less appealing figures(which is likely the reason it was still there when I got to the aisle) so I made sure to grab it while I could. The new Sandtrooper disappears faster than any other figure in the latest Vintage wave for pretty obvious reasons and isn't likely to be spotted all that often in stores.

Wow, an old GI Joe vehicle of some sort? I always found it funny how the earlier logo resembles an anarchy symbol.

It is what is left of my old GIJoe mobile command center.

I have considered the old Action Team logo as a possible tattoo

Scored two of the Toys 'R' Us-exclusive Speeder Bike with Scout Trooper sets. It took my TRU a little while to get their cases of the Speeder Bike thanks to the distribution center not getting their shipment until later than some others, but at least they finally showed up and they were definitely worth it.

Best Speeder Bike ever and the best 3.75" Scout Trooper/Biker Scout action figure I think I've ever seen. Great stuff.

Hi all,

I try to collect SW figures but I've had to give up, and one of the things I wanted to do is collect one of each trooper variant. Do anyone know about how many and where I'd look to find that information?

Picked up another Vintage Collection Clone Trooper army builder from the local toy and collectibles shop earlier today. Thankfully this one didn't have a helmet that was yellowing or turning some weird shade of light green in the package so it's a good copy. Anybody else here who collects Vintage 2010-12 figures knows what I'm talking about.

My poor Scout Trooper. :(

On the bright side, the VC60 Clone (501st Legion) from the Dr. Evazan Wave seems to have avoided the yellowing/greening helmet problem as nobody who's bought one seems to have reported any color changes. The Episode II Clone Lieutenant and Episode III Shock Trooper from the Lost Line/Jar Jar Wave also seem to have much better helmet quality (even though those Phase II/ROTS-era helmets are still a bit too large for most collector tastes).

Mom's garden still has roses...and Hawkeye found a perfect sized one for Black Widow!

Very fun and cute! :)

I finally got my hands on an unopened boxed set of the George Lucas Collector's Set of exclusive action figures from 2006. This was originally sold as an online exclusive and contains three then-brand new characters as well as a straight repack of a 2005 Episode III Jedi Padawan figure that was elusive for some folks.

Here's a good video on the set, and the electronic TOS Captain Kirk and command chair at the beginning are an added and fun little bonus.
