The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

Great score, @Tom Hendricks ! Just this past Sunday I finally got a Koska Reeves, the last figure in her Black Series wave I'd been looking for. She reuses the Bo-Katan body with repainted armor and just one holster whereas Bo-Katan comes with two holsters. The Sasha Banks head sculpt on Koska Reeves isn't nearly as good as the Katie Sackhoff one but Hasbro is really knocking it out of the park lately with Real Photo paint apps on the faces!
Do you know if they ever made a Dark Rey black series?

They did. :)

I've been participating in this thread for so long but never actually shown any of my stuff. Here is a small squad of 3.75" Reys, showing her progression through the sequel trilogy. From left to right: Black Series - Jakku, Vintage Collection - Island Journey, Basic line/Force Link - Jedi Training, and Vintage Collection - The Rise of Skywalker. There are more accessories; I only included the ones that fit with the poses I was going for.

The Jedi Training figure with basic five-point articulation is about to be replaced by a custom version I ordered from a third-party craftsperson, featuring full articulation. I must say, the plastic robe things make posing the legs a little tricky. I wish they could have done those in fabric.

Slightly jealous of the Rise of Skywalker Rey which I never found in the wild. But I have the rest of them. Rey is one of my favorite characters.
More silliness - remember when Neelix' lungs were stolen by the Vidiians?

Where's the torso from?
And Luke's belt has a hook that's obviously for hanging a lightsaber hilt with a loop on it, which the figure doesn't come with. Actually I can't think of any recent 3.75" figures that came with a deactivated lightsaber hilt with a loop on it, that I could potentially use for this (yeah yeah, I know he didn't have a saber in the movie with this costume, but that hook stands out to me). TROS Rey has a lightsaber hilt, but it doesn't have a loop. And TLJ Jedi Training Rey has the lightsaber with the blade, that has a loop on the hilt. But obviously it wouldn't work to have an activated lightsaber hanging from one's belt.
I believe that belt loop has been part of molds since ESB Jedi training Luke.

Does anyone here have any of the Star Wars figures from Medicom/Mafex or Bandai SH Figuarts? I've gotten a couple of their figures from other franchises, and once you handle a figure with that level of detail and posability, it's kind of hard to go back.

@Gingerbread Demon , just a friendly reminder that a video with no associated discussion raised (other than "cool" or equivalent) does not really need to be its own thread. We have a generic Official Video thread pinned at the top of the forum. In this case, since it's about LEGO, it could also go in the toy thread, which is where I'm going to send it now.

No worries.... I was going to post this in the model building thread but wasn't sure if that worked or not as it was more along the lines of glue models.

Dark Side Rey is awesome, all kinds of awesome. I wish she had turned to the dark side now.

At some point I might pony up for a custom 3.75" "Dark Rey" that somebody online makes. Or I can try to make one myself. It seems like it would be a fairly easy kitbash/custom job.

The biggest challenge I am running in to is the ball joint head size, especially for females, is smaller than a lot of other figures, or even older figures. I am still figuring out the best way to do kitbashes for Rey because the ball joint of her head is smaller than even earlier Leia figure sculpts.

I had a similar idea with putting an unmasked 3.75" Kylo head onto the Black Series body. But when you take off the masked head from that figure, the ball joint is huge and the neck is really long. It's possible to get the unmasked head to fit by temporarily softening it with hot water and popping it on, but then the face looks bloated. And the neck is still too long, so you would need to wrap on a bunch of fabric for a shoulder cloak or something to reduce the giraffe neck effect. To really look right, it would take some cutting and sanding down.

Yeah, that's what I am finding. So, needing to grab some sandpaper and a Dremel.

This is coming next year with a price tag of $229.99 and from Hasbro Pulse.

I finally put Scotty into the kilt that I bought for him. He immediately started a band. We are still searching for a name.

The red picture was done for a photo contest for the word “Red”. I’m calling it “Still life with random red things”. I wanted it to look like one of those old paintings.
