The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

So here's the proper Janeway introduction. I love her. That's all.
There will be all Star Trek teams, all series. Check them out at EXO-6!

I need to work on my hands on hips pose. The hands need to be higher. But it's not easy to get the angle right, without breaking the wrist joint!

Also the phaser holster should be on her left side.
Both phaser and tricorder holster have magnets, which easily attach to her hips.

Oh good, they remembered to include her "Murder Tuvix" hands.

;)

Sorry, my pictures are a bit blurry, weather was grey and dark yesterday, but I did not want to wait to take pictures. Here you can see better ones:

ROFL!

Oh right there it is I missed it the first time looking. Nice figure though was she pricey?
About 190 Dollars. Really a good price for such a nice figure! There are still some available if anyone wants to jump in. I'm sure once the shops are sold out, the prices on ebay will rise.

BTW how did she steal the TARDIS?
Um... no idea! You tell me! I just thought it would make for a good picture

 Oh my! It *is* a nice figure, but I had no idea they ran that expensive. Guess I won't be getting into collecting figures anytime soon.
Well, there are the cheaper 9" Playmates. For what little they cost (in the 30-40s range on ebay), they are actually not bad.
But they drove me crazy with their little articulations. I couldn't do the poses I was used to from my other figures.

Had I known the other figures would come I had not bothered buying these, but theysure gave me some fun pictures as well. Can't really take the clothes off the expensive ones, so that's one advantage the Playmates have!

There was an episode where that was deemed to be a taboo gesture for some reason.
An episode? I don't remember that.
Garrett talked about it in the Deltaflyers that his coach made them do push-ups whenever they had their hands on the hips and that's why he still feels uncomfortable seeing it as it was so ingrained into him.

Have you started wrapping your Christmas gifts already? Who will get these wonderful boxing gloves I wonder...

I've been getting more into the 6" scale recently to build up my collection of DC Comics characters which I started years ago but then put away and kind of forgot out. But it's rather frustrating that some of the newer lines are in 6.75" or 7" scales instead, while sellers on ebay mistakenly list them as 6". And even at the 6" scale there is quite a bit of variation in size, even when two figures are supposed to be the exact same version of the same character. :brickwall:

Yeah, listings on Ebay suck for scaling. I got burned by a 6" figure that I recently purchased because the scale was listed wrong. On the plus side, if anyone needs a 6" Elizabeth Swann figure from "At World's End" hit me up.

In more positive news, I recently picked up the Tantive IV hallway playset and some more 3.75 inch figures from the Vintage Collection. Plan on posting pictures soon.
