I bought the 6" Black Series Grand Moff Tarkin and the Target-exclusive 6-inch Chewbacca from Solo the other day. The Tarkin is spot-on except for the hair, which could be a little greyer, but then Hasbro also made that paint app and wash error with both the 3.75" and 6" Han Solo figures from The Force Awakens. The new Chewie comes with a blaster rifle/shotgun weapon that has a sliding pump under the barrel. :)

I finished off wave 2-7 of the World of Nintendo line. Scored Iggy Koopa and 2 Hammer Bros. I can't wait to see more koopa kids get made for the 4 inch line. I hope Ludwig is next. I have a bootleg of him but he's not up to snuff, but he does look decent with the rest of them.

The first video review I've seen of the upcoming Target-exclusive 6-inch Gamorrean Guard!

Apropos of nothing, but since my first exposure to Tolkein's works was the Rankin-Bass "Hobbit" and "Return of the King", I've always imagined his Orcs as being rotund and only vaguely "humanoid". Seeing the Gamorrean guards in 1983, I thought they would have made rather cool Orcs.

Every year in Mae have the International Dixieland Festival in Dresden, with bands coming from all over the world. Giving concerts you have to pay for, but also there is one day where they play all over the city for free, and a big parade. It's always great fun with Bratwurst and beer and (usually) sunshine.
Some songs we danced to and sang together today were:

- Sunny Side of the Street
- Pennsylvania 6-5000
- Chattanooga Choo Choo
- The bare Necessities
- Down by the Riverside
- When the Saints go marching in
- Glory Hallelujah
- Ain’t she sweet
- I scream for Ice cream
- Tin Roof Blues
- What a wonderful World
- When you’re smiling

It inspired me for this picture!

Also, have you heard, Photobucket is back - kinda? Our old pictures are working again!

I finally finished customizing that Sofia castle I got last month. It's now Princess Peach's Castle. I painted the main body of the castle eggshell white, the roof parts candy red and the door and balcony gold. I've still got some interior work I have to do but the outside is finished and ready for show.

Do you have a before picture of the castle before you repainted it? I always like to compare what was done visually. Thanks!

Look what Kirk and Spock found at a walk - miniature buckeyes / horse chestnuts that already have fallen from a tree. They look like prickly Tribbles!

I forgot to take a picture of it before I painted it but I have this official photo which I think I posted around the time I got it. :)

Sadly mine is missing a few pieces since I got it second hand but I'm very happy with how it turned out.

I see, very colorful. Yours looks so much better! Shame about the staircase, I love it.
How about putting something behind the crossed window at the left? Shouldn't there be stained glass? Red or blue? Or both? With see through foil or something?

"Hello Sister!"
Hugo Strange is experimenting again. When will he ever learn? This is a crossover of "Gotham" with "Metropolis" and "Torchwood".

Thank you. And I agree. the lack of the staircase is unfortunate but I'll find a solution. :)

I've been contemplating what to do with the windows. I quite like the bottom left window as it is. It's nice and big for her to stand at. However in most Mario games she does have a stained glass window towards the top.

I've been thinking about cutting away the molded in bars and curtain from the top window and making a similar image to fit in it's place.

I love your newest pictures by the way. The miniature foods you have are amazing and that Extreme Sets asylum is a masterpiece. Excellent work. :)

I meant the brown window on top left with the stained glass.

You mean these? I'm afraid I didn't express myself very well there - these are actually real vegetables, just in miniature. And I don't have them anymore, I ate them after taking the pictures ;)
So this was meant to be as a comparison picture of real things, as opposite to miniatures.

Oooooh okay, I see now. I left that as it was because I liked how it looked. :D

Wow I don't think I've seen veggies that small. I've seen cherry Tomatos but not peppers that small. Excellent work. :)

In other news, Yesterday I hit a local yard sale down the street and got some nice things. This TMNT zipline playset is really cool and will make a great addition to my miniature city. And this copper, radio antenna looking decoration that will make a great radio tower.

This is a project I've been working on for a while now. I just finished it. I found this Imaginext Mr. Freeze playset for less than a dollar last summer and I've given it a minor makeover. I've completely painted the mountain white. It was a mix of white and sky blue. 10% white and 90% sky blue. I did away with that and made it reflect it's cold nature. It also made things easier for me since if I got sloppy with the paint, it just made things look even more snowy. I removed the Mr. Freeze sign from above the door because I hate when toys have a sign or sticker of what the toy is. I also removed the pipes that sat on the side because they didn't look good. I then painted the large industrial mushroom shaped fan part of the playset black and added a danger stripe all around it. It was perfect because it was the same exact size as a small gap inside the industrial fan. And with that. Here's my slightly modified Ice Lair playset.

Both pepper and tomato were home-grown so hat's why they are of a smaller size.. I bought the cucumber in the supermarket.

Man, you have the best toys ever! One day I am packing my suitcases and come over to play ;)
Great finds and repaints!

And I have the bestest co-worker ever! Today he brought me this - apparently it is leftover from pieces for a puzzle game for his little son. It's already folded and stands like that, looking like a room-divider. I don't even need to paint it as it already has a kind of wood design.

All I need to do is glue some paper behind, as at the moment the holes are see-through. I just can't decide whether to use simple white paper or to go for something more fancy and colorful. What do you think?

7 Inch figures for size reference.

Thank you. You have a wonderful collection yourself. I can imagine the crossovers we'd have. :)

That stand your co-worker got you is pretty cool. I love little things like that, that can go into dioramas. It would fit in nicely with your Wayne manner arrangements. :)

Yesterday's scores: the 3.75" Probe Droid and Darth Vader 2-pack in TLJ packaging for just $5.00, the new 3.75" Princess Leia Organa in Hoth Gear on a Solo cardback and the Walmart-exclusive 6-inch Kylo Ren(Throne Room) with base and die-cast metal accessories for just $7.00 on clearance! I've been waiting to get all three for a while now, but especially the Probe Droid/Vader 2-pack and the 6" Kylo Ren!
