The Action Figure and Toy Collecting and Discussion Thread!

Jakks Pacific teased this on their Twitter. I wonder if it will be for their 4 inch figures or their 2.5 inch figures. Either way, I'm excited. I've been hoping they make a Princess Peach's castle playset for a while now.

Another scene from the "Gotham" pilot: First Jim gets caught by the bad guys, then Harvey too. No need to worry for them as this is the pilot, otherwise that would be a very short series LOL I love heroes who do sarcastic comments in time of peril. "Thanks for trying to help." - "Wish I hadn't." Cracks me up every time.

I hanged them up in my kitchen today

"Hung" is the past tense of "hang" while "hanged" is the past tense of the execution method of "hanging".

So I should have written "I hang them up in my kitchen?" I wasn't sure and the dictionary was no help at all :( Both words had the same definition.
No, I was only joking. You were close enough. It was that in the Batman universe, People hang a lot of the time thanks to batman capturing criminals and hanging them outside of Gotham PD. Great photos though. I love that paper you use for the metal floor.Did you get that from a shop or did you print it out yourself? :)

Why did Eaglemoss go for the long window prototype rather than the shuttle that actually appeared in TNG?

My best guess is that it's the original Andrew Probert design... could the extended viewscreen be a nod to Probert for allowing his trademark shuttle into the Eaglemoss collection? I understand it was a challenge getting final approval. The Okudagram included with the piece features the cropped viewscreen. Ultimately, there were numerous variations of Type 7 hull markings and I'm convinced the extended viewscreen model is seen in TNG Seson 1 episode: "Coming of Age" as the shuttle departs the Enterprise D....(thanks to my TNG blu-ray disc and UHD Samsung TV)

Eaglemoss Executive Shuttle...as seen in STVI: The Undiscovered Country. Shuttles of this kind were assigned to Starfleet Command - were relatively spacious and comfortable craft designed for short-range missions:

Thank you! I'll go change it at my various pages. Can't take back that tweet, though.

This must be way I was laughed at on a date when I said I was well hanged.
LOL! Although that's an odd thing to say at a date anyway. Maybe wait and surprise her? ;)

I once put my foot into my mouth when I innocently announced "Screw Stargate" and actually meant that someone was doing action figure theatre, only with screws instead of figures. It was pretty amazing. The golden screw was Apophis! Check it out here if anyone is interested, there are several stories: http://sg1screw.altervista.org/

Ah, gotcha! Like in the beginning of a movie with Sylvester Stallone, where he was hanging from a rock by one hand and said on the phone that he was just hanging around.

In a recent Gotham episode we saw Bruce coming to the decision that he would not kill. It was a pretty big moment and one of his first steps towards becoming Batman.

Thank you! Yes, it is one of those backgrounds that I bought in a shop and that come with many different pictures (bricks, sky, grass, sand, water, wooden fence, plaster stones...) It's actually a bit too big for the small figures and works better with 1:6 scale.

Yes exactly! :) Those are great texture paper. I don't mind larger paper since the bigger the paper the easier it is to take pics with more angles.

I'm happy to announce I'm working on a new Star Trek comic. It's going to be my biggest one yet. I won't leave you hanging but here's a single pic I'll be using for it. Inspired by the Brig scene in Star Trek V. Deja Vu anyone? ;)
